Hi everyone,there is a thought within me,circling around for years, if not just months at this point, and I think I would need advice and guidance from the people. I come from a lower middle class family, I think this is necessary to tell so that we can have a practical understanding on what can be done. So, the thought which is eating me up daily is that I should cycle from my city to Marseille, "why?", if you may wonder then honestly I don't even know, however let's call it personal goals at this moment. Now its a very ambitious, somewhat silly or even dumb of a thought to have, but I need to stress on the fact that I've had sleepless nights because of this. Marseille is somewhat around 6500+ kilometers away from my city and my mind has been specifically focusing on getting there via cycling only. So I need help to understand what can I do upon this (apart from going to therapy if you may suggest lol) and how practical is it? And should I do it? Though I am unemployed and am lower middle class

It will be much easier with lots of money in the bank, don’t count on getting a job or that it will pay as well as one you can get back home.This is a very long term goal and if you’ve never attempted something long, my advice is you will likely quit after a month. The first month will be an awesome adventure with some growing pains but after that you will be really tired and hate yourself for doing this. You will really have a lot of time to think and it’s easy to think about painful things.But… I think that’s the point. I find something really exciting then I go for it. Then when I fucking hate myself a month later, I try to have the mindfulness to think about what I *really* want. Turns out I didn’t want to cycle from Stockholm to Amsterdam, I just wanted to feel excited and this trip did it for me. But then I spent 2 weeks in Ystad and now I’m in Copenhagen and it’s too cold to be outside considering I can be somewhere nice with one plane ticket.So learn to set reasonable goals and be aware that the person making the goals is not the person achieving them. “I will only travel by bicycle” sounds nice until you have to pedal over a narrow mountain road in the sun, being passed by people who paid $5 for the bus to the same place.
