appalachia is nice but the rest is pretty shitty
the west coast/mountain states are the worst, people impressed with themselves for no reason and living in mental islands

it has cheap food and high wages, with a strong currency. you can be a min wage burger flipper in the US and earn wages competitive with doctors in europe or east asia
