Like.. most of them? Talking about such an essential mechanic is pretty standard. Gacha players are also autistic about pull rates and whatever the fuck else, so it would be best to get that out of the way.

I think the male Detective was shown on the official site back when the first trailer dropped 6-7 months ago with the same description as feMC, though she was always listed first and he's never been seen outside of artwork. So it's possible they only decided to make him playable shortly before that. It does give me some hope that male MC will continue to be treated like an afterthought.

With Kassandra and Alexios, whoever you don't pick becomes the antagonist though. Here the sibling is just straight up dead. So it doesn't even feel like there was much point to having them be siblings. I guess there could by some personal character backstory boost by having the tragic dead family trope, but that's about it.

I'm more interested to know how much of an actual character Detective is. I already despite that she doesn't have a real name. That is always a bad sign. I don't want self-inserts. I want real protagonists like Kayamori Ruka or Vertin.

Is Silver Palace made by a chink company? I can't figure out who this Silver Studio is. If it's chink, there is no way it will actually have real yuri. They would go the Mihoyo route.

As far as names are concerned, seeing as the male Detective's name defaults to "Hugin" when asked to enter one in-game, the female MC's canon name is probably Munin. Of course, every character just calls her Detective anyway.

I'm not done with the main story yet, but I would say Detective is more than a blank slate. She doesn't have amnesia, for one, and is portrayed as confident, intelligent, somewhat standoffish and guarded, and surprisingly not afraid to get her hands dirty and bend the rules when she needs to (like beating up a thug to an inch of his life during an interrogation or breaking into a constabulary station to retrieve evidence). I wouldn't say she's a very deep character so far, but there's a decent foundation to build off of in the future.

It's quite impressive that Endfield has managed to have 0 (zero) yuri ships on launch, not counting the MC. The original Arknights had like a dozen different ships on launch and was getting a constant influx of yuri fanart.
