Though not retroactively unfortunately...Still a difficulty selection is something that players have asked for for years. So their experiment with Perseus mode did pay off after all this time.

It's a Key VN, so the writing standard is pretty high and there is an insane amount of content. The yuri is a real slowburn though, so don't expect things to get to confessions and dating immediately. It's also a nakige, so there is lots of drama and stuff that hits you emotionally. I think HBR is both funny and sad in equal parts. Very likable cast. Mind you, this is the gacha that turned the Persona 5 girls gay in its collab. Teheperinko~

I totally forgot to mention it, but they changed the way event stories are ordered now. You can simply order them by release date or you can use a bunch of modifiers. This is not as good as fucking locking the correct event behind the correct chapter, but you can basically customise it yourself now, so that's something.
Mega anon are there any new sprite updates this time? All of the latest updates have been accounted for in game and I would like to see if there are any hints for the 4.5 ani and summer event

Everything about the stream was a 10/10 until the final chapter announcement. They have to be an actual shit for brains kurukurubakas to announce the main story ending - unless the game was actually going to end after the main story. In the scenario where the game doesn't end like they said, normal gacha players when hearing that aren't going to think>"oh who knows how many parts chapter 6 might have, maybe the game still has a good 2 or 3 years left" Even if the game still has some years left it's still a massive wake up call to the spenders, especially the giga whales who max LB every new style. You're basically telling the group keeping your revenue stream alive that their money spent is going to be for nothing in 2 years. So even if the game wasn't ending, it might as well be because spending will go down, which means less revenue, which means less incentive to keep the game alive. I cant believe they hid 19A's introductiom episode in the news column on the title screen. I legit see no place to access it aside from there and I looked all over the game. It technically has a minimal spoiler about Tezuka in 5.3, but that aside these sure are some cooky characters. Pinkie here really is quite openly gay for the squad leader at least. Their dynamic reminds me of YuiMiya if Yuim wasnt a total wreck on the inside. They left the military 8 years ago. That means they served 4 years. They do mention the Mother Cancer, so they definitely will be relevant to Chapter 6.
AoixIchi is cute and all but I wish Kura and her wife got even half as much love as them. Both of them still being SS3 is a crime, and the field nerf made Kura lose what little relevance she had in the meta to begin with. Their confession was also arguably the most explicit in the game to boot
I... I just finished the new Ichigo event...I have not been this unsettled since the narby reveal. What the hell is going on? It was a total mindfuck. Everything about it is just... is this even canon?? But if it is then...
I cried... even if nothing makes sense, even if I was overwhelmee, the core of this moment touched me...This whole event is like a broken mirror of Requiem for the the Blue. But it ends on the exact same words. And in a way it gave... closure.This event isnt about Aoi. It never was. This is about Ichigo. This is a character study that slowly takes apart who she truly is.I was enjoying just seeing Ichigo's antics with Sumomo. It felt like that was almost enough. But Aoi kept pushing Ichigo to keep going to training, to keep going to the lesssons with Asami.... I get it now. It's so good. But it also hurts, because I cant understand everything. This event only works if you have played everything Ichigo was involved in and really understand 31B. The entire time I saw Byakko snuggle up with Ichigo and my memory was triggered... "Byakko always stays with the weakest to comfort them". We learned that all the way back in chapter 2 and 4.1My head hurts. But maybe in a good way.
Everything was a deception. Even the damn event art. Even the event title. When they changed I was flabbergasted. What the hell is Project Paradise? What is going on with the base? Quite bold of them to do an anniversary event that goes beyond the current main story and lock it behind chapter 2 while optionally suggesting an event that is post 5.1... Good old WFS. Maybe I should just be glad they are confident enough to do something so crazy now. No more anni events pretending we are in chapter 3.

I think a very cool detail in the event is that if you follow the rule Sumomo establishes about how a delusion from Ichigo's mind cannot give her new information or anything she doesn't already know, you can go through the event again and figure out that all characters are in fact real. Sumomo obviously when she tells Ichigo the truth, but also because we see her talk to Higumin off-screen.Mari is real because she explains features of the batting machine that Ichigo didn't know.Megumin is real because she is teaching her how to play guitar of course.Byakko... might not be real, but Sumomo perceives her, so we can still assume she is.Asami is real because she teaches Ichigo new literary techniques.During the entire event I was wondering why Ichigo is constantly explained basic stuff that seemingly should be obvious to her by Aoi, but it's all about her deluding herself into having real conversations in her head, so she has to play dumb.I haven't felt like an event has been this layered since maybe... Irene's event. It feels so good when HBR goes for the cerebral approach. Any event that lets you see the meitculously crafted details on a replay is great.
Replaying 5.3, because I kinda rushed through it back in January. Noticing a lot of stuff I missed now. Like Niina having new dialogue about Asami in the base. She noticed Asami feeling despressed because of the Tezuka situation like a good girlfriend. But she did strongarm her into not getting drunk all the time and they actually keep that fact going, which is great.Also on Day 4, Sugawara confront Adel about the white fabric she lend her and wants it back and Adel runs away. Suganyan actually chases her all across the base and you can find them in several different spots. Not only is that hilarious, it's the first time they did a multi-stage mini-event on the map like that as far as I remember. It actually progresses by you going to all the spots. Really fun.
Also I never found KareTsuka on the roof, openly shipping Ruka/Tezuka on my original run lolThese two are the biggest gossips and shippers. Even Seira has some competition.
