I kinda hate HiroEma on a meta level. At least with AliceEma I can pretend the ship matters. The best interpretation of Ema there is if she is masochistic succubus bottom
>>4594350I don't care that much about HiroEma. Alisa and Ema definitely had the hottest CG in the VN. I liked their dynamic>The best interpretation of Ema there is if she is masochistic succubus bottomI 100% agree. It really fits her
Will the unofficial translation patch work on the steam version? I'm not good with computers.
>>4594358Yes, it is easy to apply but ask if you have any problems with it
Huh this thread is new!Is it new?I know nothing about your game(s), could you tell me about it and about the girls in it? Some tl;dr?
>>4594510Yep, this thread is new. The visual novel got a fan translation a few months ago and it's starting to get more popular outside of Japan so I was surprised to see it doesn't have its own thread here In Manosaba 13 girls wake up on a mysterious prison island. The girls were put there because they were selected as potential witch candidates, which means they have the ability to use magic and are seen as a threat to society. Murders eventually start happening as girls start losing sanity and developing witch symptoms, so you have to figure out who's the culprit/witch and send them to an execution.I haven't read Danganronpa, but that's what people usually compare it to. Although Manosaba has an all girls cast.I like the art style a lot and find the girls really cute, it was fun to watch their ups and downs as they struggle together while locked up there. They're not the most mentally stable people out there
The upcoming visual novels by Acacia will follow a similar formula, and the official English translation should be coming soon.I'm pretty excited for it
>>4594560It seems like you left out one very big thing. Those are obviously lilies, so it's not just goggles. So what's going on between the girls apart from murderous intent?
>>4594510Danganronpa with a cast of magical girls. Suprisingly the most well-written murder-mystery vn there is. In no case did I smell the stench of bullshit. And that despite magic being major element in all of them, but the presentation and usage of it only enhances the riddless. I once tried Ace Attorney and droped it at the second case allready because of how long, convoluted and senseless the cases were for example. And Manosaba also has advantage over Danganronpa by... Not being written by Kodaka's sweaty hands.Cases are generally good, and I'd say one of them is brilliant. But! There are some minor issues:1) Motivation. Sometimes it matters and plays a role in the case. Sometimes just throw it out of window (vn does have good enough explanation of why it is the case)2) The structure of plot kinda makes the last 20% of cases silly. You'll see why.Now to the yuri... It's subtext. That's the best you'll get from this franchise. Main ships are:1) HiroEma, because of course they are...2) SherryHana (picrelated). These two have the best chemistry in the vn and the closest it gets to being a pair. Very romantically charged scenes these two have. Noone else even comes close3) AnanNoa. They do spend a lot of time together, but I somehow didn't find them interesting.4) Meruru and spoiler.5) Nanoka and another spoiler.Margo flirts with other girls alot, but somehow doesn't get dedicated pairing. Coco is cool, but doesn't get paired at all. I think she might have worked with Miria, but oh well...Lots of minor ships though.HiroReia, HiroNoa, MeruruEma, Meruru Alice, AliceEma, MiriaAnan.
>>4594567So you really enjoy SherryHana, I see.It doesn't seem like the kind of game I usually play, but it's still interesting.
>>4594342It doesnt need a general. It has no enough content to justify one and it's not fucking yuri. This deserves to be an image dump thread, nothing more.
>>4594561>a similar formulaSo it also won't be yuri and only have the barest subtext? And you are excited for that crap why?
>>4594342I read somewhere this VN has a time limit for choices during trials, and if you wait too long it's game over and you have to restart? Can you at least, like, pause the game so the time doesn't run out or save and reload the same choice or something?I mean, the one good thing VNs have over some games is that you can play them without pressure, I'm amazed they managed to take even that away.
>>4594679It's a visual novel trying to ape Danganronpa, which had similar mechanics. A game without yuri in which most of the cast fucking dies and kill each other so even the imaginary pairings can't stay together is somehow not what I think is worth any /u/ anons time...
>>4594680>Danganronpa, which had similar mechanicsThen it's a dumb mechanic in both games, I played Ace Attorney and it managed to get me engaged in trials without that level of bullshit, I don't have time to waste replaying the same shit all over again just cause I got a phone call at the wrong time or wanted to brew a cup of tea or something. If all you bothered doing for "gameplay" is write down some text, at least let me read it in peace.
>>4594682You shouldnt play this game anyway, but your reasoning is fucking stupid. A few timed choices are normal. If you are in a trial and know a timed choice is coming up, fucking do your stupid shit before the choice happens?
>>4594683>A few timed choices are normal.I've been playing VNs for decades and thankfully they apparently all thought different.Anyhow I take it you do at least get a warning before that entirely unnecessary bother, good to know.
>>4594684If you played any fucking games with timed choice in this format you know when that shit will come up from the flow. And even in fucking Ace Attorney you could get your choices wrong 5 times and get a game over. Then you have to restart the trial from the last save point. This is the same shit in every game like this. Time choices are just the same thing. Stop being retarded and just reject this game for what is actually wrong with it, that it has zero yuri.
>>4594680You clearly didn't read shit, so stop talking out of your ass and get angry at things that didn't happen
>>4594679>>4594682>>4594684Git gud, faggot.
>>4594679The time limit is incredibly long and impossible to fail unless you intend to
>>4594701It's a book>>4594705Thanks anon, does the time limit extend beyond a single choice, or is there a fixed time for each?I imagine it's something like an Ace Attorney cross-examination, where you can re-read some data and dialogue before making your choice, except they had the brilliant idea of slapping a timer on it, cause it's totally fun?
>>4594679>>4594707The first couple paragraphs of this guide answer all the questions:https://www.gameguidewebsite.com/post/mofashaonvdeshenpan.html
>>4594707>does the time limit extend beyond a single choice, or is there a fixed time for each? There is a fixed timed for eachYou can re-read some data before making your choice, I assume Ace Attorney goes way in depth when it comes to this. You don't get punished for making a wrong choice, and the time limit basically never expires so it's impossible to fail. The gameplay is very simple and nothing special

>>4594689This game literally has NO yuri. And most of the endings have at least several of them kill each other or die. Prove me fucking wrong.
>>4594726And let me guess... it wasn't yuri?
>>4595092Wrong>kill each other or die in the end everyone except for 2 survive thanks to time magic, even these two can be seen as "together in death">NO yuriDefine yuri.Okay I'll spare us several rounds of arguing. If you go with the "stories focused on relationship between women, minus the ones that have central men characters" (argued for in a japanese academic article btw), then it definitely qualify as yuri.If we go with maximalist "stories about sexual or romantic relationship between women (no bisluts allowed)". Then what the fuck are you doing here?Go be annoying to WataMote, Hoyoshit, Fate, Shounen, Danganronpa, NGE, Little Witch,DDLC... There are lots of threads on this board that deserve your ire more since they are less yuri than manosaba
>>4595117dont reply. the manga adaption has the 百合 tag all over official bookstores and the game is plenty yuri. he is probably another /vn/ schizo, or the usual anti-yuri schizos that hate yuri so much they end up on /u/. the irony.
>>4595092> And most of the endings have at least several of them kill each other or diebut that's the most yuri thing of all...
For Hironano we fightFor Hironano we die
Hironano makes no sense
Girlfriends~!
Hironano Tuesday!
>>4595117You are that fucking retard shitting all over the board with your "academic proof" that yuri isn't a romance genre, which is not true. Some idiot made a dissertation on it that is his OPINION.Yuri is romantic or sexual relationships between girls especially on /u/. This is not maximalist, this is the standard definition of the genre, in Japan and all yuri communities. Because Girls' Love is a synonym for yuri in Japan. Leave forever.>>4595561Either you are feeding the troll or you are a troll yourself. This game has no yuri. You cant post a single yuri thing from it, because it has none. There is subtext in a few BAD endings that aren't even canon. It's a clear sign that you are a troll when you accuse the person who actually wants textual real yuri of neiong anti-yuri. When in fact the retard trying to push that stuff without romance is yuri is the real infiltrator trying to destroy the genre definition so he can post non-yuri shit.
>>4595117PS: I said they die in most endings and that is still fucking true. Youi didnt even manage to disprove that. Just how bad are you at this?
>>4601086>>4601089
>>4595117PPS: Most of those threads don't claim their garbage is actually yuri. They are just image dump threads of yuri art.Manosaba has no yuri, so how can something without yuri be more yuri than something else without yuri, dumbass? But then you fail even on those fucking basics, because Fate does have genuine yuri in it, unlike Manosaba. You really can't do anything right.Your fake definition of yuri does not apply to this board, so what are (You) doing here?
>>4601096>brainless meme image response, because you're helpless to counter anythingWhat a surprise
>>4601102Stop spamming the board with your inane shitposting.
