I think we can safely consider AnoSoyo canon at this point, right?
>>4601814Of course.
Tenmaku no Jaadugar went surprisingly hard on the subtext on this final episode both for Boraqchin x Moge and Toregene x Fatimaplease tell me there will be a second season
>>4601814>>4601818Nope. And I'll never understand people defending this nothinburger, yet shitting on other subtextsIf AnonSoyo is canon, everything is: Revue, Nanoha, every other Bandori ship. Even hoyoshitSymphogear, as long as 2 girls are in the same show or game and don't love males, they're canon apparently
>>4601856>as 2 girls are in the same show or game and don't love males, they're canon apparentlyCorrect
>>4601856
>>4601859The irony is that this is how het and most yaoi "couples" work; nobody really questions much, if not most, of these couples and their "existence." The same silly complaints that yuri series have with any level of yuri are almost nonexistent when it comes to het or yaoi. Age difference, incest, coherence, chemistry, canon, and even if one of them is already married or in a relationship, are all irrelevant to the fans.

>kore kaite shine episode 10Great episode. Hikaru got a ship (at least i like to think so) and Akafuku weaponizes her autism. Next episode seems to be a school festival episode, which I love, and i saw Urara there too. I love her petty rivalry with yasumi>grow up show episode 11Ouka and Mizuka go on a date, I like it. Not sure how they're going to tie up everything in one more episode, but I hope they manage to do it satisfyingly. I think both the competition and Maria's crisis being crammed into the last third of the series is a bit much tho. Wouldve preferred a more modest climax instead imo, with more of Mizuka bonding with her troupe members.
>>4601874I have an stick up my ass againt overrated shit I'm suppossed to like and act like masterpieces while everything else is shit in comparisonLike Madoka or in this case MyGO. Cringe is itselfr a buzzword and not a real argument and it was the MyGO cultist using it, so shut up about muh buzzwords and muh no real arguments, because the ones without real argument are the MyGO cultists>>4602054The Maria drama is what happens when staff tries to justify an adult loli design with plot instead of just going "we wanted an adult loli, fuck you"
Also, reminder all MyGO couples are made up by fans and the show itself is not even subtext. Perfect friendship show. Subtext only works with what MyGO tards dismiss as "caricature emotions". Their overrated "grounded realist" shit reduces subtext to nothing and the only yuri that works is actual maintext, real yuri. MyGO would need to be a real yuri show like KimiShinu is (and I'm not hearing another round of semantics autism), but Bushiroad will never cross the line, so MyGO is a nothingburger friendship shit I'll take "caricature for children" or whatever MyGO tards dismiss other shows as that actually at least have some yuri subtext over "muh grounded subtle realistic" whatever with no crumbs
>>4602068>Bushiroad will never cross the lineThey did in d4dj before so they could again
>>4602069I hear D4DJ is not them. Either way, when the only explicit Bandori couple happened with a break up in mind (Viola/Miyako), I'm not trusting Bushiroad with ever making Bandori yuri. Feels like trusting Hoyoshit to make yuri in their post HI3 games (Genshin, Star Rail, Zenless)

After what happened to ChikaRiko I'm glad that multishipping franchises don't try to go canon anymore, like even in D4DJ HayaKoko kinda lives in her own Arisugawa bubble after the NTR-lite shenanigans with the hags and it's better this way. AnonSoyo it's the better example from MyGo because the main ship was AnonTomo with Taki as a yaya but the fandom did what fandoms do and invented a entirely different ship that now can be shilled without feeling that we lost anything in the process.
>>4601865>>TakiUmi>canon.This is an attack on takitomo
>>4602147No, it's an attack on common sense. TakiUmi has the same level of mental retardation as the "popular" couples in the main Love Live line. It exists because the fans want it to, they justify it with their asses, and thank God this isn't Love Live, because future projects would go to shit just for trying to implement TakiUmi as something real.
>>4602147TakiUmi is much better. Tomori can date female rocks or something.
>>4602144>>After what happened to ChikaRiko I'm glad that multishipping franchises don't try to go canon anymore,Superstar exists, so no, these people have no decency and it was 3 seasons of doing things terribly and trying to please everyone in the worst possible way.>>multishipping franchisesThis is all bullshit and it's not even based on reality. They can say "multi" whatever the hell they want, but there's always obvious favoritism towards some pairings and absolute contempt for others that are so utterly ignored it's a miracle they exist. They might be there, but a fandom full of idiots with inflated egos will refuse to even mention them. HonoMaki has had events and these idiots don't mention them and try to downplay them or outright pretend they don't exist.
>>4602158It's not, the pairing simply sucks, you only put them together because of a lame dynamic that barely qualifies as friendship and an aesthetic that Otae and Layer do better.
>>4602162It's easy to ship TakiTomo because they were planned around that dynamic (aggressive but romantically shy girl x lovely autist) but they lack the same chemistry that UmiTaki have. They're both dorks trying to act all busisnesslike to hide their emotions but whenever they appear together there's just this tension in the air, especially considering what each represents on the grand scheme of things (loyalty + fear or fejection from Taki's side; understanding herself + fear of overcommitment from Umiri's). They're emotional polar opposites in their dilemmas and the fact that they're a MyGo x Mujica pair makes their dynamic even more appealing, considering the history of both bands and whatnot.Throughout the story, Taki is defined by her intense devotion to Tomori, a hyper-fixation that often makes her abrasive, short-tempered, and emotionally unavailable to others. Umiri is the singular exception to this rule. Umiri is the only person who can consistently ground Taki when she is spiraling. Whether Taki is stressed about lyrics, band drama, or her own insecurities, Umiri steps in as a calm, stabilizing force. This dynamic shifts Taki from a state of constant panic to one of rare vulnerability, a transformation she doesn't exhibit with anyone else. She's attached to Tomori as an ideal of perfect synergy and stability, but that's just an illusion she's seeking. It will never come true due to Tomori's gentler personality and their incompatibilities.Umiri works nonstop with several bands for the money. Yet, she constantly "wastes" her free time sitting in fast-food restaurants just to listen to Taki vent, showing that Taki is the only person she treats as a priority over her work. Umitaki's dynamic is built on deep mutual respect, shared vulnerability, and a unique emotional anchor that sets them apart from typical bandmate friendships.
>>4602166>they lack the same chemistry that UmiTaki haveThat's completely subjective sis. The only dynamic they have imo is "friends", not even best friends, or friends with romantic tension, just normal platonic friendship I binged mymuji tlearly this year and was genuinely kinda shocked to learn they were one of the most popular pairings
Whilst I obviously prefer canon, I am willing to accept subtext at times, but I will say that I'm not a fan of Bandori's flavour of subtext. Or rather, there appears to be a trend that the gayer a pairing in Bandori becomes, the more strange the writing around it starts to get. With most other subtext series, when it comes to the gayest pairs, the writers like to push the usual ambiguity, but then sometimes go slightly over the edge into unambiguous/explicit territory, and then leave things there for the fans to have fun with. With Bandori, however, whenever the writers go slightly over the edge into unambiguous/explicit territory like those other series do, instead of just leaving it alone like other writers do, it's like they become uncomfortable, and they decide to introduce some narrative mechanism that acts as a counterweight. This leads to the current situation where the gayest Bandori pairs (UiSaki/VioMiya) come with a massive asterisk next to them.
>>4602248>they decide to introduce some narrative mechanism that acts as a counterweightYou mean stuff like incest and mental disorders? I wouldn't call them a counterweight. It's just another flavor of drama. Purely vanilla romance tropes get stale after a while.
>>4602248I agree. But they do it for deniability not because they're uncomfortable. They want yuri fans to get it that yes Uisaki are a thing but when normies interview them they can go "pfft what are you on about obviously they're family lol". I bet they think they're geniuses.

we need a proper BIG series that the whole board is into again so we can actually talk about itkimishinu thread is 90% image

can we stop applying het metrics to justify what is or isn’t yuri? There’s not enough yuri to match a bazillion het produced over decades , after which you’d practically stop ever doubting if a prospective yuri ship will ever come to fruition. i or no one else likes applying strict rules for judging what is or isn’t yuri but it is the reality that we have to. We don’t have enough yuri in this world to trust anyone without skepticism. (I meant to say this as a general statement I don’t know if it applies to any recent discussion)
>>4602272That's fair

Either say what happens in Lara or shut the fuck up please
>>4602595Too soon. MahoAko and Watanare (anime) are like two and one years old so the industry didn't have the time to actually make a real yuri anime yet. Yumemita relied on VioMiya because the vtuber fad isn't as popular aymore, Grow Up Show only follows the overall trend to have some strong yuri subtext on SOL-like shows with all girl casts and Sayonara Lara (if the leaks are true) feels like a wannabe Cosmic Princess Kaguya that tried but failed to use yuri to their favour.

>>4602956 It’s stranger than that—though, to be honest, it mostly involves just one woman who’s into younger boys, and the boy looks like a girl (for no real reason other than personal preference). The most serious dynamic, however, is a tsundere girl his own age who’s in love with him; the boy is a pervert, but mostly just in terms of what he says. It’s one of those supernatural comedies—with some serious moments here and there—featuring plenty of big boobs (presented somewhat subtly), but what really matters to us are these two; frankly, it’s probably the most normal romance in the series.
>>4602943>>4602945As long as she doesn't handle the script and only does the art, we'll be safe from her doing anything stupid.
