Regarding episode 12: I really liked the insert song. Including the side story in this episode (making jam) fit really well.Also thought they did the scene of Mimi and Sheena happily jumping into each other's arms, before Mimi realizes they're still fighting, justice. If Esta were to be paired up again with someone it'd be with Rika.On the other hand, it's also impossible to adapt the chapters after the 2 Ari/Esta chapters, and still end on a satisfying note (without rushing anything). They'd have to adapt at least 3 chapters in 1 episode for that to work (the health exam and Sheena getting jealous, talking to Ari about it, the entire classroom scene).So I'm guessing the very last scene in episode 13 will probably be Mimi/Sheena. Maybe them just lazing in bed, or making cookies.
Anime only here. The first episode didn't really grab me but I gave it another shot and ended up really liking it. The Seiran arc was heartbreaking, but unlike a certain other show, it felt true to the tone of the story and respectful to the choices of the characters, and to their grief. Mimi and Sheena ended up being a much more likeable couple than I initially thought, especially in recent episodes. How does the manga compare, and how much further ahead is it?
