Internet sites show that people are often cattle so you there can be 1-2 popular sites and 99% of people will use or even pay real money to use them no matter how hard they are fucked in the ass. It does make sense in a way because 1) everyone else uses it and 2) it would take effort to find the alternatives. It doesn't matter if the alternatives are free or don't assfuck the user. Well obviously the alternatives would have to finance the site in some way if they got more than 0,1-1% of the user bare, but still. You just won't get people to stop using stuff like discord or nexusmods, you just won't. People will register there and even offer real world money, then complain, then pay more.
