Hey /v/,Some friends and I decided to do a snake draft of 2000's video games>A snake draft is a popular selection format in fantasy sports and board games where the draft order reverses at the end of each round. If a participant picks last in the first round, they get the first pick in the second round, creating a fair, back-and-forth serpentine pattern. Here were the general ground rules.>01 JAN 00 - 31 DEC 09. We were a bit loose with release dates if the Japan release was DEC 1999 but the USA release was like MAR 00. Same with something where the game came out on one system in late 99 but came out on more systems after 2000. Sure, technically a 90's game but in reality it's basically 2000s>DLC and Expansion packs counted but no remasters, remakes, ports, etc. Just because a game has new graphics and like one more level doesn't mean it's still not a remake or remaster.>Pokémon was drafted as generations AKA Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will be Generation 3. You got both games as they are essentially the same.>Console, handheld, PC, arcade, browser, etc games counted. No pinball/VNs and the like. It had to be considered a video game>If there were two games in a series that were similar yet were distinctly different releases then they were separately draftable.>If there was any debate on eligibility or what it encompasses it was put up to a poll.There wasn't any criteria or clear goal. Just draft the best collection of games.>How to read the chartThe numbers on the top of each column are the team's number.
