>nine years old staying at a friends house>late at night, playing gta iv on his big rear projection tv>he's knocked out next to me on the couch while i am glued to the screen>never touched a 7th gen console up until this point, let alone a game like gta, so i am transfixed>in a cop chase>hitting sick turns, having the time of my life>the size of the screen has me totally immersed>cops yelling at me over the megaphones, i giggle at all their cursing>in the safety of the darkness i get frisky and eventually reply under my breath>call them shitheads>they reply back>i hear the first two syllables of my name>immediately pause>barely hold onto the controller long enough to exit to the xbox dashboard >the white and green light accompany me into an uneasy sleep
Not in a specific game but on Steam Friends. I have had two close gaming friends die (1 wrapped himself around a tree in his car, 1 killed himself at a range) and I still have them both added on Steam Friends. Well one day the Steam network reset or something and both of their Last Online (4000+ days ago) statuses turned into Last Online: 2 Minutes ago, and everyone else on my friends list was normal (Last Online 2 weeks ago etc etc). It was spooky as fuck, those two died several years apart.
One time I died in the game and in real life
>>739340072You were asleep and dreaming of playing GTA.
Not really spooky as a story but>Playing Pokemon Sapphire as a kid in bed>Walk into this random building on a route called the 'Trick House'>Empty room with just the dialogue 'YOU'RE BEING WATCHED...' and clown music>Feel a jolt of fear and turn the game offNever did go in there againI was also scared of New Mauville because of the music
>>739341164i was definitely up late that night, i always chalked it up to just hearing things looking back on it. but to this day im always half expecting enemies in games to call me by my name lol
