Now that the dust has settled, how is Wilds compared to World? My boat anchor PC can't quite run it but I'm gonna be upgrading again soonish once the market calms down.

Granted we're talking about base game only:
>Monster roster
It's like night and day, World was Brute and Flying wyvern central while Wilds has actual variety
>Weapons
Wilds is more or less World movesets mixed in with some repurposed stuff from Risebreak and a couple of wholly new additions, most weapons are in a good place currently and raw doesn't dominate the meta either
>Armors
Meta is generally a bit healthier than base World, you have an actual reason to farm all apexes now and even some shitmons in certain cases due to the Transcend function
>Weapon/Armor design
As far as base games go this still goes to Wilds, there's simply way more variety although Wilds adopted Risebreak's shitty idea of having just one armor set design per mon, not having gender lock means little because most female armor pieces look like shit on male hunters.
>Maps
Talking about pure topology I'd say they're about even for the most part but Wilds maps still have an edge because hazards are actually worth using now and there's a lot more of them, mons also have better map interactions on average and there's some neat stuff like sand actually sort of behaving like sand
>Multiplayer
It's pretty much the same system but now you can get NPC support hunters like Risebreak, and unlike Risebreak they're actually sort of useful
>UI
World wins hands down here, Wilds' main menu is an atrocity that is barely salvaged by having a better dial function.
>Movie shit
Wilds lets you skip all cutscenes so even if it does have some annoying unskippable walk and talk segments it's still superior to World.
>Endgame grind
It's pretty silly to talk about that on a base game but that too is better in Wilds purely because you can meld ANYTHING for endgame currencies so you never feel like you're wasting time
>Performance
Both base games were ass World wins here, Wilds' performance is better than at launch but it still requires way more resources than it warrants given the graphics
