Despite how horribly optimized it was, and how shitty and greedy EA's business model is, the Sims 3 remains, and probably will always remain, the best life sim game ever made. All of these attempts to be the next big life sim game completely misses the point of what made the Sims series so fun and engaging. The Sims doesn't try to be a real life sim game that is a 1 to 1 of Earth. Its basically a fantasy world, with stuff like vampires, aliens, ghosts, robots, magic and sci-fi technology integrated into a modern setting. All of these other life sim games are just trying to simulate life living in California or some shit. Why the fuck would I want to play a game that just feels like its trying to be real life? Why would I want to be some regular dude in Paralives or Inzoi when the Sims can let me role play as a vampire roboticist whose wife is an alien who owns a unicorn as a pet?

even (modded) 4 is less painful to play
