I'll be spending the day out in the sun but once I'm back I'll keep working on effects for the demon's attacks. It's almost done and once it is I'll be able to release a demo. Crazy stuff to finally reach this point after almost a year and half of development

uhh I'm making an online game and I keep thinking of tons of things I should make more secure/better and whenever I add anything I have to make sure every little thing about it works. the problem isn't getting things working it's just the amount of shit to be done. If it's just a small player lobby or multiplayer don't worry too much about cheating. Just make a basic opcode system for game traffic and model from there.

thanks for the tips but it's honestly something that's really important to make sure people don't cheat. I also am kind of going in with the mindset that I'm developing a game for ideally a bunch of players. so even if it did flop I have a really good source at least.

That looks a lot better than what I can do but yeah I'm surprised how easy blender is, at least for low poly. It's just box selecting, extruding, resizing and rotating.

Minimum viable product tactic. Create the very basic shit so that you can play and just have fun as is. Then as you keep playing, think what else you want in it and add it. Fantasising about your awesome end product will get you exactly nowhere.

That is the 2nd model, this one is the first I made. Still undecided between angular junkyard Americana and dieselpunk visual style. Now that I'm learning curving and sculpting shit, dieselpunk seems the way to go.
