Playing as a milky and getting 16 starting int isn't worth the downside of sleeping far more frequently and having issues around eating meat. Same for dunes and being locked entirely out of fruit and having godawful int, which only gets you the ability to eat saiwan meat and have a nicer time with water (although the cold from being wet may actually just kill you, by the sounds of it). Not to mention that both of these options have far shittier QoL due to not having illuminating eyes.It seems like a major perk of both alternatives is that they can tolerate severe mood debuffs better...but I've never been in a situation where my expie has any realistic chances of long term survival getting their mood nuked, because anything that nukes an expie's mood is generally either permanently debilitating or fatal.

The original line about behavioral research better contextualized the presence of the medical chip as well, since surveilling experiment status was important to the researchers (or maybe that's just how the research team justified it internally). Maybe this is reframing things that the company's motives are more opaque. If the EPDAs are being reworked, maybe this is more of an incentive to find and read them since they will fill-in these gaps more for the player
