I always thought RS2 to be closer to Diablo 2 in terms of its combat than WoW. The bossing in D2 isn't mechanically overwhelming, rather it's a gear check and enables you to farm for gear to do bigger gear checks for fatter loot. I don't understand why they decided to change up the philosphy of the boss design.

>>739440473The answer to this is that sailing was sharted out in a half completed state which means they have to redirect most of their dev time into fixing it to be "ok" state. Meanwhile, main game updates for the year are a level 20 newbie boss at the start of the year, a new quest and boss in the summer and raids 4 at the end of the fucking year. Combine that with the egregious sub increase after we just got one not long ago and you can see why it'd start to dip after the great run we had last year
