Why does absolutely nothing match the soul of classic Monster Hunter?

Its partially an art style and tone thing, mh1,2, and 3 were all very 'grounded' in terms of their presentation. More moody, naturalist settings. heavy animations, realistic plate armor designs with functional accessories like ammo belts and flip down visors, etc.

But it's also a gameplay thing. New MH is reactive.. you're expected to have fast reflexes and play like a cracked out ninja. Old mh is proactive. You're expected to hang back and watch, and plan, predicting your future moves with the monster more than just dodge rolling through everything as it happens.

Why can't devs make detailed monster ecology or behavior anymore?
I'll take just the behavior. Soulslike bosses come the closest, but even so, none of them come close to the behaviors of a monster in monhun.
Also deep weapon movesets.
Every supposed monhun clone falls short in the monster design and core gameplay.
