Your units are functionally exposed all the time unless they explicitly are standing next to cover or Cogg. This is especially egregious if the enemy has psykers who will oneshot your units through armor due to damage buffs. Combined with the bonus morale loss and the enemies being resistant to morale damage (they literally take a flat 1 less morale damage from all sources and your guys get 1 less morale from all sources) it's very to have one failure lead to a cascade effect.I'll give you an example: You fight some brainwashed acolytes, you're given a few boxes as cover, there are two cages full of prisoners with knives that ignore armor.Your job is to>Shut the gates by shooting the terminals (Haymar)>Shoot the augmented of everyone to break the moral and stagger them>Then you need to run someone up to interact with the acolyte.Problem>On hard mode they won't get staggered (take less morale damage)>You're still in a killzone of multiple rifles and snipers (anyone who leaves cover dies)>half of the enemies are on the other side of the map, behind cover, in elevated positions (you cannot interact with them)So the job becoems>Use your psykers to force stagger with assail>Kill the rest (after saving 5)>Try not to lose a single unit or everyone will become broken in one turn.Not a good time. There's no minimum added, so a lot of stuff is useless. For this fight I just used quick save glitch to start behind the enemy snipers and focus em. Honestly feels like hard mode has not been tested at all, at level 3 you have to do the diver rescue fight with 12 mobs having 50+ hp and 2 200 hp commanders...Compared to the first palace fight where you fight 6 disposable 10 hp mobs and 2 90 hp mobs its insane, not sure who's testing this nonsense.
