It honestly perfectly captured late 00s NYC.I like playing it for the nostalgia of some facsimiles of my favorite neighborhoods in the city.
It was good then, it's good now and will still be good later.

It was the start of the downward descent. Up until 4 every GTA had been better than the previous one.

I find it funny how everyone forgot how shitty it ran back in the day. Not a PC only thing, but it also ran like molasses on the PS3.Basically a situation where the betterment of hardware in general has made people forget about its performance.

>>739517353I had it for xbox at the time and don't really remember it running bad but I had a really bad crt in my room so I couldn't see the entire phone and text on the bottom of the screen so I went through a lot of missions not knowing what to do or knowing how to call in stuff like the truck bomb or calling npcs.I never got to finish the game until I got it on PC years later around 2013 right before V came out for PC.

It's one of it's kind because this kind of game + dlcs will not be made ever again. The physics engine and other stuff was unique to this game. Not that it doesn't have it's flaws. Almost every mission is just drive there, shoot, chase (where you have to find out if you can end the chase quickly or you just have to chase on tracks), shoot some more. Gay tony dlc had a bit more variety.
