Unlike OoT, it's an incredibly forced and prolonged final boss sequence. It didn't need to be fucking 4 phases, and the dramaturgia of it is missing.
In Wind Waker, the finale was simpler and shorter but more impactful than this is, because it had the full context of the story's buildup. The King has been dragging Link around chasing the "Old World" under the ocean using various God-myth macguffins and imposing Legend of Zelda shit over Link and Tetra who belong to this new pretty Unzelda world, so we can prevent Ganon from doing some A Link to the Past shit with the Triforce. He then almost succeeds after snatching Zelda, but the king steps in and breaks his wish for him, and the final battle happens as Ganon has already lost so he goes rage-mode as the water streams down to his inevitable disappearance along with the old world. That is poetic and kino.

OoT also had the explanation about the Triforce splitting into 3 pieces, ending with Ganon, Link and Zelda, and by putting them together you get the Triforce, and Ganondorf wanted that to complete his ruination of all that is good. So he captures Zelda to force an adult heroic Link up to where he and Zelda are, and beat Link in order to obtain the Triforce. He underestimates Link and loses the fight. The castle falls, and he turns into a beast fighting Link and is defeated by the essence of purity (Childhood) that resides in Link.

TP is just Ganondorf fighting Link, and it goes on for 4 parts, and ends with more showmanship in an empty field, with a tiny barrier and no audience and Hyrule Castle Town is OK. It's not like ALttP where he has the pyramid in the Dark World where the land is fucked up. It's not like OoT where he's taken over Castle Town and it's not like WW where he's about to ruin the flooded world. In TP, he's just in the light world after it's been cleaned up, and has the castle in a barrier.
