Fair point, maybe it should offer the choice to go for any of them from the start, but make it a lot easier to go for another once you get the first.
Makes it so the player gets to the good part faster between characters, so as they get to the last character they cared the least about, they can get to the lewd part faster and potentially pull them all together for a harem ending without it feeling like a grind in a bad way.
