You're very confident in your retardation. Nvidia's execs have printed money and power from AI. They make as much every three weeks as they used to for an entire generation of GPUs. If they completely drop gaming GPUs, for every 3 weeks they spent maintaining the current profitability of AI, they can happily eat the losses of not selling 4 years of consumer hardware. This means that the only possible way for this to bite Nvidia in the dick is for AI to go under the day after they drop gaming GPUs. Any other scenario means they've enriched themselves far beyond what they were doing.

This decision was made long ago, which means that scenario is not going to happen.

>Like Jeff Bezos makes 8 million dollars an hour, even while he's sleeping

Dude you have no idea how the economy works. Jeff Bezos has a shitload of Amazon stock. His networth is constantly oscillating with the stock price. He's not just making $8 million dollars an hour. If Amazon's stock price goes down 1% one day then he's effectively lost a billion dollars that day, if it goes up 1% the next day then he makes the billion back.

You have no clue what you're talking about which is unsuprising considering that you're endorsing a system that's obviously failed as many times as communism. Even Marx would say that his thesis has failed and a new synthesis is required that's the way the dialectic works. You're pushing a 150 year old idea that's failed every time its been tried, that's why the Chinese abandoned it. Mao killed 70 million Chinese through the shear retardation of his commie nonsense and China stagnated for decades. Now they have a market economy and a vaguely national socialist government and they're a world power. Communism failed repeatedly, its time to move on.

And what are you going to do, buy AMD? NVIDIA is making way more money from the AI stuff, and they are the ones actually making money because they are selling an actual product to all those bubble companies and they have like 99% share in PC gaming anyway because they captured it by making DLSS sloppa frames mandatory to play anything so nobody is going to buy a gaming card that can't do that. And if you weren't going to play mainstream AAA games you are not a customer anyway, just get a steam deck.

What I find bizarre is they are all dumping money into this. They could've used any other industry to dump their money into but they chose the worst one of the bunch financially, yet has the most meme magic power.

What if their actually goal is to create a AI demon god? Because they took of their veil and are going full force on creating the gayest of gay dystopias, like if they are running out of time.

Prices will not come down. The cutting edge silicon market is bottlenecked by only a handful of corporations and they're colluding to price fix and keep supply low. There will always be demand for more hardware to repair and do maintenance on data centers, they got used to getting paid enterprise prices from infinite funny money tech companies, why would they ever accept selling cards for cheap to poorfag proles again?
The only way out is massively disrupting this cartel market from the supply side, *IF* in 5-10 years domestic Chinese lithographers can scale without ASML and just flood the market with good enough chips. Other than that, we're fucked, you will rent your cloud PC and be happy.

Yeah, it doesn't matter. AMD is already on the AI train and pretty recently Lisa was finally being accepted into the AI cabal. And if their showcases have been any indication it would seem they're on the same track of abandoning PC ownership in the future or at the very least pricing everyone out of it eventually. Intel is getting bailed out by the government, Nvidia and now Apple. All of the most prominent PC hardware related companies are rapidly shifting their attention to AI and cloud services. Everyone is abandoning us since AI is too powerful. The only sector that could escape this is Chinese manufacturing, but the US cabal does everything it can to stop that from happening by making up security risks that are basically so specific it's impossible for it to be an actual issue. Even then, if Chinese hardware gets mass adopted, they'll eventually cave and produce strictly for AI as well. The only hope is that this whole thing fails, but unfortunately that means everyone has to finally acknowledge the economy is only good for a handful of companies, meanwhile the common folk have been getting perpetually ass raped for decades now.

I did you characterized capital ownership as Jeff Bezos predictably making $8 million an hour rather than owning stock which goes up or down in value relative to the performance of his company. Bezos is rich because his company has been making a lot of money for a long time if his company ceases to be profitable then he loses all the wealth he has in Amazon stock.

Commies always characterize capital investment as just magic money printing rather than a bet that can make or lose money based on the company's performance. The only magic money printing in our system is what the government does when it prints dollars out of thin air to pay its bills and devalues the currency through inflation.

You think stacking boxes is productive labor? Go ahead, get some random boxes and put them in a pile. See how much anyone is willing to pay you for that.
Oh yeah, fucking nothing. Because it's not just stacking the boxes that produces the value. It's the logistical network required to make sure those boxes have the right content in the right place at the right time that produces the value of Amazon. Any rando can be slotted into that network to do that stacking and that's why those randos aren't paid much. Because your value as a worker doesn't come just from how hard you work but from how hard you are to replace.

Capitalism has proven to be the only thing that sates the innate human desire well enough to survive for a distinct amount of time. Communism works on a small scale between family in a household. Socialism is more of a friendly neighborhood block/town type of thing. Capitalism works on the grand scale since we're naturally self-interested. We don't care about the masses, only ourselves, and if working on a macro scale with others can help build my own worth up then that's the best possible outcome. Communism and Socialism don't benefit you the larger the outreach, but within the confines of your immediate area they're perfectly fine and build close relationships that may benefit you long term. Capitalism is basically just about how you can manipulate the globe to give you want you want and/or need.

Nvidia literally owns Intel.

Why do tariffs break the "left/right" dynamic?

You'd think it'd be organized labor who wants to keep slave products out of domestic markets and ruthless capitalists who need sweatshop merchandise to suppress wages, but somehow both sides picked the exact opposite of their logical viewpoint
>>
>>739544196
Labor is meaningless. Any asshole can learn how work a solder or milling machine.

It's the people who own the businesses or contribute investments that keep a company alive, bnot the people who perform menial labor (whom are endlesly replacable).

Even those people ultimately serve the purpose of providing liquidity to the system. Renting property is also a valuable use case. Only retards think a world where you have to have enough money to buy everything is inherently better in every way.
>>
>>739544457
>China just released their new GPUs that were going to "save gaming"
Nobody said such a thing outside of English speaking clickbait articles. "China" isn't a monolithic entity, there are multiple companies, every few years one of them tried to drum up hype and release some outdated undercooked card, Moore Threads did so some years ago. The big national project to produce cutting edge chips does not produce any commercial product yet, only prototypes. If that program is cancelled or releases garbage, then we have to accept that we're fucked and pay the Nvidia AI tax.

no, a 970 was 329 dollars which was a steal at the time is about 500 dollars today, 5070 msrp is 550 so really no change there either

AI doesn't have to go extinct for there to be a bubble
A lot of bubbles form over very real assets that people overhype and overvalue before they are ready

The most amazing thing to me about the dotcom bubble is that at its peak, the market assumed the internet would be as profitable in the year 2000 as it actually ended up being in 2015

Another chestnut I often think about is that in 1905, plenty of smart people knew that horseless carriages were the future. 1,500 automobile companies were founded and three of them didn't go bankrupt within a decade.

Organized labor hardly exists in the US and is mostly toothless thanks to the Taft-Hartley act. Domestic manufacturing isn't coming back to America either way. Capital is more rootless than ever and they'll just divest from the country entirely if they have to, you can't "force" them to come back. At the end of the day Republicans aren't really using tariffs as a cudgel for protecting domestic industry, they're using it to slowly replace income-based progressive taxation with a consumption-based regressive tax scheme.

AI companies combined lose 200 billion dollars in each quarter. Thats 800 billion dollars a year despite all the investments. Not sustainable whatsoever. Some are already raising use prices to a point its cheaper to just hire a human coder.

"AI" or LLM is a glorified search engine, it does have its uses but its going to go the way of VR where it corners a niche in the market for coding copy-paste helpers and video editor smart selection tools. Thats it. Image recognition software being slightly better is nice when you're OCRing japanese porn and ripping green screens but thats about it.

If we are talking about Iran and Venezeula, they get about twice as much oil from Iran 1.6 million bpd as Russia 800,000 bpd which in itself is about twice as much as Venezuela 400,000 bpd
Any loss to any of those is quite significant as they are down about 2 million bpd of sanctioned oil which HAS to be made up for by buying more expensive non sanctioned oil, primarily from the US which is hurting them bad

The easiest way to say what you wrote is Bezos sleeps while this warehouse workers work. He makes the profit and they produce value. The issue isn't Bezos. The issue is the reason why the workers don't start their own Amazon's. It's not having capital, it's the workers not having access to capital. Instead of redistribution capital should be meritocratically accessible to people who demonstrate good financial responsibility. Sounds hard, but it's easy. Obligate every company to make its workers its shareholders if it was to be huge. Problem: solved. You need to figure out that a market economy as has existed for thousands of years and sated human needs pretty well for generations is not the same as a capitalist economy, which really only exists since industrialization and has created massive conflicts of interest since day 1. The reality is that you can't run huge techno-conglomerates and normal human societies on the same economic layer. It doesn't work. Societies need to figure out how to allow entrepreneurship without destroying normal people's lives. The idea that everyone should be a hustling rent-seeking entrepreneurial sociopath doesn't work either. That's a society of psychos

Good comparison, yeah. I figured this day was coming sooner or later because the only reason OpenAI is still afloat is because MS and Nvidia are circling billions of dollars around in the hopes that it will pay off eventually, similarly to the dot com bubble of the 90s. But just like the dot com bubble of the 90s, I think they were too clever by half. If the big AI revolution that will make all our white-collar jobs obsolete is ever gonna happen in our lifetimes, it's still not gonna happen any time soon. All that maintenance, R&D/training, data, hardware and data centers (which also requires a lot of land, electricity, etc) is expensive as fuck, and we're not gonna get solutions like TurboQuant to lower the costs of running LLMs forever. All this while people are asking more and more from them, but without any of those AI organizations making an actual profit (OpenAI has not made a single dollar of profit in its entire existence). At some point, they're gonna have to jack up the prices so high most companies will be forced to go back to human employees for the foreseeable future or fucking die.

Tits one is true. I make it code a feature. It's 90% complete, but I have to read the code to fix it or maintain it because the AI can't fix it. If I make the agent fix it until it actually works it spends more than the work earns me. Much quicker to choose it from scratch, or copy past templates, which is what the AI is really doing. But Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V is infinitely cheaper

They made 77 billion of profit last year on 717 billion in revenue, so that's clearly bullshit. Netflix though, I doubt it. I'm sure it was profitable once but it seems to be slowly dying now.

You can look it up though, OpenAI has literally never made money. Microsoft is just hoping they can save money by replacing all their coders with LLMs in the future, but it hasn't worked out very well for them yet considering how shitty their software has become recently even for MS standards.

CP77 is 6 years old, it's the best nV tech demo.
But even in that game there are many scenes where there are almost no visual differences. You gain more by installing mods like higher res texture packs because textures in CP77 suck, that game had to run on 8GB cards.
RT is still very noisy without ray reconstruction which has different kind of problems.
I cannot go back to ~60FPS in faster games, I target 120FPS+.

I will say this is the only thing Indy does better, which is the PT not overly smoothing character texture detail for whatever reason. Faces look a little oily in CP2077 w/ PT on, even though they're crisp with the RT shit off entirely.

>But even in that game there are many scenes where there are almost no visual differences.
It's pretty much exclusively the indoor areas that benefit. PT + large sun object isn't that big of a change over traditional means unless you find some dark corner.

Small irregular texture detail and effects like rain get often decimated by the denoiser.
RT/PT struggles the most in small dark rooms where light comes from the outside.

The 6000 series is not going to breach what the 5080 did, especially with the current demand for AI/database-shit.

As I said, there's tons of gaming stuff to review, just not necessarily the same things. They could test mice, monitors, microphones, audio interfaces, compare stream decks, power supplies, even get into chinkhelds now that you can run PC games on them, why not?

How about talking about actual games occasionally? How about testing motherboards to see which ones have onboard audio that isn't dogshit, that would be good to know.

Regular windows vs Linux testing. Setup guides, demonstrations.

Go on forums or whatever, see what people are frequently discussing and make a video about it. Half the videos on my channel are just me getting frustrated by replying to the same fucking questions getting asked and making a video about it so I don't have to reply anymore.

How about other input devices and peripherals? I'd love teardowns of racing wheels for example. Compare how they're different, how they're the same, which one's best for who.

Is N1X (ARM Strix Halo with 5070 tier graphics) still happening though?
>>
>>739550623
Yep. I have no idea how AMD fans can have a victim complex to this day when the CPUs sell well. AMD GPUs are simply always playing catch up and have a bunch of caveats people don't want to deal with. Software support is still ass, anyone who questions this just look at the FSR4 situation where AMD had to be bullied by the entire community for a year to release support for their older cards. The entire FSR backward compatibility is ass, game support is always spotty. Yes Nvidia is scum but the only reason AMD GPUs are relevant because consoles, linux and small devices use them to save money.
>>
>>739547365
What stopped AMD from offering a GPU with a decent amount of VRAM back when it was dirt cheap? If they'd put out a GPU with like 128GB, 192GB, 256GB? Even 1TB/s bandwidth it would've made that huge in local AI. Instead AMD cedes that ground to Nvidia and lets them market an $8000 GPU identical to their $2000 GPU just with more VRAM.

What stopped them from making Strix Halo actually decent for AI? Put a fuckoff huge memory interface in there, 512-bit. Might still be shit for prefill but at least it wouldn't also be crippled for inference. And again - AMD cedes that territory to Nvidia because they want to be inferior but very slightly less expensive and with no software ecosystem. Yay guys, have a gold star, you made budget-oriented products for the market that's the least budget-sensitive, yaay, you get a gold star.

Whole fucking company is propped up by the assumption Intel will never make a good CPU again.

ngl, I'd be at least a little skeptical of GN claiming this, considering he speaks fluent chinese, often goes there even in his videos, and claims they're going to save us.
Hard to deny NVIDIA is openly suggesting a phase-out of the PC mind you. I already called it when the first manufacturers were quitting the consumer business and the whole "You'll own nothing and be happy" but I think given the socialist/communist slant on WEF I sometimes wonder if China already had a hand in this from the beginning, and we're seeing a lot of "Us vs Them" psyopping close to 2030 because that's how they normalize it into happening genuinely, and both Jensen is along with it as is GN.

But I want to believe that Jensen isn't fully abandoning the market, because the AI bubble will burst once China gives up, and it was all a show, and then GN is just a CCP shill because he is a massive faggot.

It's been delayed. The speculated time period is around 2028 because of the component shortage. That doesn't mean they aren't making 60 series cards anymore. Also I distinctly remember everyone saying NVIDIA shouldn't be putting out cards every year anyway because "moores law is dead" , "fake frames", "I hate ray tracing" and "diminishing returns". Now they have no choice but to delay their 60 series cards, which also means they aren't spending thousands every year and people can get used to the cards they have without "FOMO", and gamers still find a reason to be upset and unhappy.

The next set of GPUs probably wont be very good. I mean how can they make the 5090 better without encroaching on their workstation GPUs? The basic 6000 workstation model have 48gb of VRAM. So what's the 6090 gaming going to have? Maybe 38gb? 40gb at a push? For $4000? It just won't be worth the cost.

Meh, gaming was always better on consoles anyways. Less distractions, better optimization, no OS fuckshittery. I've missed it ever since swapping to pc.
Computers are for work and Windows/Linux are too unreliable. Always breaking themselves. The average person doesn't want their gaming platform to be a project they have to troubleshoot and tweak.
Everything will be better just going back to <$1k dedicated gaming boxes instead of $3k problem machines. Pc gamers will fuss about paid online but that's optional and the price of your pc covers the cost of a console and online for life, plus you get free games and you'd still have money leftover. Not to mention Steam has a monopoly over the gaming ecosystem. He'll wring you for more money soon when the time is right.
Gaming will heal with less people on a computer. Good riddance. Now bring back physical games with the death of pc gaming.
>>

I saw this coming. Why spend all this money on data centers if people can just run decent models at home? The answer is that you won't be able to run decent models at home.
AI bubble will never pop. You'll own nothing and be happy.
>>
>>739555742
you can't build a singularity at home. we also don't know how efficient chips will get in 10 years and where we will go once we hit the physical limits of silicon lithography. maybe we'll be able to run gpt 8 (agi model) at home then, but there will also be something bigger and godlike that will require large data centers.
>>
This means that if you are a software provider and you aren't rewriting your program for ARM computers you won't have any customers soon.

Are people just too stupid or only too domesticated to understand that a system which abscribes values to human based on their economic value can't work anymore if the human organism is obsolete? I am no commie, but if we are operating on the singularity assumption as governments and businesses are, then the tenets of everyone having to contribute to production and the systems governing it have to go away, otherwise only people with prior considerable properties and who have entertainment/aesthetic value can survive. This is total idiocracy

I replaced my 4070 super (which sits there gathering dust, maybe if I found a reason to put 2 fucking GPUs on my PC I would use it, but I can't find any) with a 9070xt and it's been peachy. I cannot practically use path tracing but at least I'm not subjected to three different flavors of telemetry, 3 different settings panels, third party software to do something as basic as undervolting, an overlay that breaks games and more and more vibe coded drivers.
Which is weird because Lisa Su is all about the fucking slop and when I install AMD drivers I'm asked if I want to waste bandwidth on local models.

If it's not a bubble it should generate some decent revenue that's higher than initial investment. Like say you invest 1000 dollars and get 1100 dollars in return or it's stretched out so you can get a profit in a few years or even start getting a profit at all.

Right now the technology is still not good enough to make a real use out of it. I heard about AI usage in diagnosis but there are a few buts and most important of all, you can't rely on it too much and you need to have a specialist who can make a decision and take responsibility for it. This type of thing can be useful in perspective but how many years will it take to develop, how many millions needs to be invested and how will you return all these money back?

Sure you can generate some funny jpgs or translate some japanese products with AI but you use mostly free models and don't pay for them (most people don't) so in the end it doesn't generate profits to develop AI further. If it's not profitable it is a bubble so it's going to burst eventually.

As a side note, don't make anime posters look stupid, next time don't attach anime picture to your retarded comments.

It's exist, but as prebuilds. You will no longer be able to build your own gaming PCs. They will make it for you, like a console. They'll either be powered by SteamOS and boot-up in Gaming Mode or they'll be Windows 11, and boot up in Xbox Mode. The gaming PCs of old are over. You will have to also pay a premium for these PCs. Gaming is becoming a niche hobby again whether you're a console or PC player. When your DIY gaming PC dies, you will never be able to build one again as though discrete GPUs will now be going to companies that build prebuilt PCs.
