Sure.L2 increase all abilities except fighting. As well as extending base health bar 10x, effectively healing.Pull as much as needed to withstand attacks and move to safety or somewhere else. Eg jump high.But the longer you go without abilities the more and better you can talk. Including to nature, yourself. Better at making it better. Have auto actions that are only done struggling.R2 to attack with sword and not. Whatever puts things on the edge of over so you can talk to them.Some things will respond better to less threat. Less of a firm line against wrong. But most appreciate immediate halting of any negative force, even if it comes from them. Like they're freed from it, can't be wrong to advance.R2 costs health. Nearly all of a regular health bar, however much of trigger pulled that the percentage of health lost. At full, all health of one lost and no spares from L2, go into a state you need help. Which can make enemies friends by being able to provide help.But be on your toes, ready to heal, a little or a lot. In case they try to finish you off instead. Attacks more powerful the less health you have. And at none you are 10x overpowered, able to stop any boss. Timing it so you are at no health just as you make another swing at a boss how you stop bosses. Several hits at no health virtually counting for 70.As you progress L2 does more for health and abilities. Making it a struggle sometimes to lose health. Swings not doing enough, fast enough and others afraid of you. Doing brazen, high health depleting actions become gameplay. Seeking out what will do some damage to you.Bosses still doing large amounts of health damage though, so need to be at full, to withstand a hit, or time an instant full replenishment to take a hit.Have too much health too long and you meet challenges that haven't been defused up to them with auto actions. Making them impossible to surmount.You have to try and do it hard.
