>He sleeps in clothes
>He doesn't sleep in his underwear or naked

Sociopathic behavior. Pajamas are a scam made by BIG CLOTHING and puritans. If you live with others in a house, then I guess you don't have a choice, but I've been sleeping naked for years. I don't think I could sleep in pajamas even if I tried. I don't plan to ever get married, and I'll probably never date/live with a woman, so I guess I don't have to worry about it.

I would imagine if I ever had a girlfriend/wife it'd be awkward to tell her "Hey, I've been sleeping naked for many years, and I don't like sleeping in clothes." Maybe she wouldn't care, but I suppose I'd have to at least wear underwear. One of the many advantages to living alone, I guess.

Then I woke up with the little shit cuddled up next to me. For a few seconds I wanted to toss him off the bed.

NTA but try some muscle relaxers anon, and speak to a doctor about horomone stabilization treatment. Those would probably help you relax and be able to get some proper sleep, Alternatively maybe take melatonin?

>>
>>739546204
No. I can't sleep with a weighted blanket, even a lighter one feels like I'm being suffocated. I understand it's meant to be relaxing, but it really does the opposite for me. I know they make weighted blankets of varying weights, can't remember which weight I was using, think it was 10lbs? That was way too much for me, not sure if they make like a 5lb version, but at that point it probably isn't worth using. I don't think weighted blankets work for everyone.

I sleep in my underwear. As I'm a side sleeper, and hate the feeling of my knees touching each other, I tuck my duvet in between my legs when I sleep. One night I whilst sleeping, probably due do it being warm or something, yanked my duvet to throw it off me. It caught my balls and I woke up painfully, feeling quite shell shocked. I wasn't wounded, but it wasn't a pleasant experience.

NTA either, but can anyone explain why melatonin supplements don't work for me? Is it just the brand I'm using? I've read that you really don't need a high MG supplement, as that can cause nightmares and either side effects. I think the recommended MG is like 3MG? Or 5MG? I just feel like those never did anything for me.

The only thing that somewhat actually made me relaxed/drowsy was ZZZquil. Maybe I wasn't buying the right brand of melatonin? But I figured it's all the same shit. ZZZquil tastes fucking nasty though.

Sleepwalking is so spooky to me. If I did it then obviously I don't remember doing it, figured people that sleepwalk never remember where they went or what they did while sleepwalking, but the idea of getting up and seeing someone randomly standing in a dark room and moving slowly like a zombie around the room would make me shit myself. That's straight horror movie material. Like imagine going to the kitchen and you just see someone standing in the kitchen in the dark with their eyes closed and walking towards you.

>character goes to bed
>doesn't put on "dick sucking ASMR 10 hours"

>>
>>739546412
Yeah man 8 hours is kind of a myth.

Sometimes you need more, sometimes less. Depends how much energy you're burning. If you're not getting a consistent 8 hours, you should exercise more. If you're consistently going over 8 hours, you should exercise less.
>>
>>739546412
Kids and teens need 8 hours because they're still developing and need the extra time for growth and such, adults only need about 6. 8 is still good for you, but once you're grown you can live on 6 just fine.
>>
>>739546412
It's quite normal, yes. And I'm no expert, but it could mean one of two things:
1. You sleep very well, and only need 6 hours. At least 7 is what's recommended for most adults, so it doesn't sound impossible
2. You don't sleep very well, which means that your sleep is quite shallow. If your sleep is shallow, it's quite normal to not feel tired when you wake up. It does not mean that you slept well.
>>
>>739546412
I had a very odd experience a few days ago. I simply couldn't sleep, not sure if I had a maniac episode or what? I stayed up for about 30 hours straight, and then crashed and slept for 17 hours, and yes, it was 17 hours because I remember going to bed at 8PM and waking up the next day at 1:00PM. I did wake up feeling refreshed and rested, but that is probably the longest I have ever stayed awake and slept. I'm shocked I didn't start hallucinating and seeing the shadow ghosts. It's pretty common to start seeing things after going so long without sleep, also having auditory hallucinations as well, like hearing people speak to you, or thinking the radio is playing, but you don't own a radio.
>>
>>739546431
Obviously your parents would tell you the next day

Since this just ended up being a thread about sleep, here's my best tip:
Do some yoga 1h or so before bed. Well, doesn't have to be yoga specifically; any harder stretches, really. The kind where you actually have to put some effort into it. That lagom feeling of strain and looseness in your muscles makes me sleep so much better.
>>
I always found it odd that they make melatonin/sleep aids for children. I wouldn't think children would need something like that, and if anything, it seems dangerous to give to a child. I guess there was really nothing stopping parents from giving their kids cough syrup to help them sleep.

I didn't believe him at all, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would believe you without showing them recorded evidence of you performing such a feat.

It is very fucking hard to have people believe that people are just capable of driving while asleep/unconscious and somehow managing to get to their destination intact.

Its often not like that either.
Some people act like they do when they're awake, or when they're drunk or just on an LSD trip-like dream world when they're sleepwalking.
This chick's channel is entirely youtube shorts of her running around the house while sleepwalking, making a mess, talking to her pets/self/husband and doing other weird shit.

I have a relative who got depressed and got some anxiety attacks. Nothing huge was going on in his life, he was just stressed at that point and it ended up being a bit too much as he's bad at dealing with stress.
So he gets to speak to a.... well it wasn't a psychiatrist it was someone lower tier. Whatever. So she tells him that he's going through an "emotional crisis". Please not that it's not a proper diagnosis, as she's too low tier to even diagnose things properly. The problem now is that this retarded relative of mine is treating this as a proper diagnosis, so now whenever he's tired or is facing the slightest setback he applies "muh diagnosis" and needs to take time off from work and everything every time. This means he's even more powerless to deal with stress than he was before, and nothing about his mental health has improved.

Now I realise that part of the problem is my retarded relative, of course, and I realise that it's not always so black and white; but it certainly doesn't help when these people just treat them like babies, enabling every fucking thing they say, instead of telling them to "take control of your life; get some exercise".
>>
>>739547036
Yeah I've read that. Maybe the first time it happened was someone firing a handgun in the next room over. Bit given how rare that would be here Iit wasn't hard to believe that it was a hallucination.
