The problem is that over half of its content came out in the first year it existed, which was 14 years ago now. That's how much the updates have slowed down. If you break it down it's something like 60% of the comic came out between 2011 - 2012 and the following 14 years combined are only 40%. And part of that is because the creator kept trying to do these grand updates with interactive scenes and games and stuff that required mass collaboration with other people, when all anyone wanted was just more basic updates. The other part is that he seems to be kind of done with the comic but won't outright end it, because more recently a lot of updates ARE just basic updates but still spread with months or even years between them.
