You beat the game
I know
>>739550898Of course we did.
>>739550898>webeat the game together
>>739550898Actually, I didn't.I mean that literally, I just never beat these games, I sorta get sidetracked doing funny builds, invading, cooping, etc... and never finish the game.
but can you beat the game solo?
...in easy mode.
>>739551018We've done it many times.
>>739550898Mimic Tear isn't funI like to have a lot of boys with me, not just one
>>739550898>skipped one side dungeon on the ubisoft carouselYou didn't beat the game coward.
>>739551042He's fun. The devs lobotomized him so you have to get funky to trick him into being a smarty pants now. I used to load by toolbelt up with really high value consumables then summon him and let him spam them on us.
>>739550898A copy of me beat the game. Now we have to fight to see who's the real me.
>>739551178so gay that they removed this
>>739551178>Rakash, give me the mending rune
>>739550898I only play these games to explore and kill basic enemies. I hate boss fights. I will absolutely cheese them if given the chance.
>>739551217Would have confused the idiots that can't into the lore and it became the central theme of Nightreign.
The Mimic Tear literally plays the game for you.I ran two tests. First against Mogh, or whatever that guy who counts "one-two-three" is called. I used the Mimic Tear and was about to beat him on my first try in 5 minutes, but I left the battle and tried again without it, and this time it took me over 3 hours. Then I started getting tired of the game, and against that serpent boss that descended from the sky, I used the Mimic Tear and killed it on the first try without even knowing its moves. To this day, I don’t know if that boss is easy or hard, because I didn’t really play against him.The obvious problem with Mimic Tear is that the penalty for using it is having your HP cut in half, which you can immediately counter by restoring your health before the battle actually begins. An obvious solution would be to permanently halve the player’s HP until he visist a bonfire, but even so, given how bosses are designed for 1v1 combat, that would still be too lenient a penalty. Maybe a ideal solution would be to halve all of the player’s stats or something like that.
... you know what, I don't think I beat the game.
>mimic tear>Summons>magic >Coop>bleed>weapon art>Dual wield>Light roll If you did any of these you didn't beat the game
>>739551324I wonder (((who))) is behind this post.
You absolutely did NOT beat the game. The From community aggressively polices runs to ensure the legitimately of Miyazaki's vision is maintained. Using the mimic tear immediately nullifies a run. You could still claim to have fun, but you didn't properly beat the game. Try again.
>>739551268Turning an idea that wouldn't have worked into an entire game with some fiddling is pretty genius.
If you didn't use The Pack, you aren't the Alpha Dog, brother.
>>739550898I never had enough HP to summon itI just ran a 99faith build that would destroy any boss in less than 5 hits or less
>>739551324I can see why the scottish people went extinct. >>739551392Makes the idea to turn into mimics make a lot more sense in that game.
>>739551361shields and armor also applythink we can agree if you used a guide to find a build you didn't beat the game on that?
OK but seriously, you did not beat the game if you cheesed Greyoll with bleed instead of fighting the small dragon pack.
>>739551361Big Shield was not behind that post. Any claims that Big Shield would encourage people to use shields is a lie and anti-shemetic
>>739551541If you beat the elden beast and get one of the endings you have beaten the game. It is a binary state that has lived past the Scottish empire.
>>739551541>cheesedanon, you can't "cheese" a free soul farm
>>739551576>He doesn't know about the secret ending
>>739551550Big Shield would be incredibly hostile to the medium sized shield distributor trying to make the highest quality shields. I've heard some enthusiast shielders claim that those are better shields than the Big Shield lobby wants the average man to have. Marika made men, Horah Loux made men equal.
>>739551324The developer put them into the game, therefore it’s true to the developers vision to use them and beat the game with them. You are nobody, and most likely an incel. Your opinion doesn’t matter.
>>739551836I didn't beat the game btw I got the the elden best and quit after the 3rd attempt because it was boring
>>739551634I've done a run on locale and did co-op with the 11s to see the secret endings. Alexander ending is a straight up shitpost it isn't canon.
>>739551324I used Mimic, gravity magic, and bleed on my first playthrough but no summons does that count?
Elden Beast should've just been directly after Morgott or something. The mandatory stuff between was the worst padding a game has had, maybe of all time.
>>739550898Big surprise. OP is a fag
>>739551297>lmao just give the player a summon that can solo a crucible knightIts just a shame you can only get him at the end of the DLC and he's mostly an NG+ puddle stomper.
>>739551420This is the real pack.
>>739550898Honestly every time you use it you're basically flipping a coin on whether it does something useful or just steals a flask from you.I much prefer using buffing ashes like Deenh and Tricia over any offensive summon.
>>739554326Deenh is probably the best summon in the game if you're already good at it.
>>739551297Decided to test this fucker on a run where I jumped to the dlc as quickly as possible without touching any bosses besides Mohg and Radahn. It’s absolutely comical how hard he steamrolls the base game and a good chunk of the dlc. Legitimately bullied everything except maybe Godfrey, even then it’s only because Godfrey was the only one that could reliably stagger him. Taylew’s also retardedly strong despite moving like molasses since he gets a damn near full heal from heal from afar and takes a century to actually wear down. People prattle on about mimic and Tiche being easy mode while ignoring these two brick shithouses basically relegating you to a support role if you tag them in.
>>739554756Taylew is sink or swim. He's very good if you can heal him from a distance, but if you're playing a build with low FTH investment, he's not that great. As an INT caster I found ashes like Oleg to be way more effective.
>>739554873I actually found Engvall more useful than Oleg. Oleg might be the more aggressive of the two, but Engvall’s moveset seems to be the more oppressive. He’s also one of the few spirit summons that can actually space out enemies courtesy of having a weapon with longer reach.
Mimic shouldnt proc with your procs.I used Cold Nightrider Flail ( with about 50 dex, 30 int), and we killed Rellana in about 45 seconds flat. Just constant frostbite, and bleed procs.
>>739550898Yeah, I did. Beating the game isn't that difficult if you use the things the game gives you. If your goal is to beat the game, then any resource you use is valid. If you want to fully appreciate the game, certain mechanics can hamper your appreciation of the game.
>>739555987
>>739550898I would have a set of armour/weapons/items/etc. I would equip while summoning the Mimic tear, then I'd swap into my normal stuff. It's so fun curating a backup buddy, like making your own Finger Maiden Therolina or your own Dung Eater.
