I have friends who follow normie music (which i have nothing against) and movies, and they also tell me about how everything feels like it is on pause. Nothing big is being released, everything just ranges from ok to flop and there is just this huge "gap" between everything. Hollywood is just the same five guys making elevated horror movies for the last ten years, POP music has the same impact and fanbase reach worldwide as country and gospel, i don't think real AAA games even exist anymore

Movies & TV have easily been on a 2-3 decade decline with no sign of improving, while I don't care for music from the 2010's but I can recognize a trend of less hits for normies coming out in the 2020's so something is going on with the music industry, they aren't pushing hip hop & rap as hard though so that's actually kind of inspiring news. Video games are not on the decline though, it's in a slow emergency room recover mode. Despite Tim's efforts to demoralize us with unreal engine slop and hardware manufacturers going full retard we're still as gamers in a better place than we were 8 years ago.

My problem is I genuinely don't care about games anymore but I still come here because games have been a part of my identity I guess since I was 5 or 6. I genuinely don't know what else to do and I fear the thought of "starting over" with some new hobby after being in this for over 30 decades and feeling nothing for it anymore. Nintendo just announced a new Star Fox game and I don't care. Likewise they are probably going to be doing OoT remake and bringing back other game IPs and I just don't care. I also don't care about GTA 6 or really any game coming up even after watching all the showcases. I'm kind of just hanging on because it's comfortable.I still wouldn't quite call this the shittiest decade in gaming, although I would say we still have another 4 years to go before really being able to tell.

My favorite consoles are the NES, Genesis, N64, Dreamcast, and the Wii (and I still think Wii U was wasted potential). Haven't really cared about games for a while myself, but nobody really does since we all thrive on drama and speculation (both overwhelmingly manufactured) now instead of anything actually coming out of the industry.
