This mostly happens on stage 5 carriers, since the small turrets don't always fire at you (but you will dodge them anyway!). You get used to it the more you play. These threads made me buy Hellsinker, it's my first shmup. I'm having tons of fun, one small detail that I really appreciate is how the game gives you rewards for small milestones. I unlocked Kagura and I'm already getting the next story beats. I cannot play any other character aside from Minogame at the moment, hopefully Nirvana abuse isn't creating too many bad habits. You may not be bombing aggressively enough, since there 3 of them they all take damage from bombs at once so you can melt half their spellcards. At that stage in the game you should be bombing basically every boss spellcard unless you're Marisa. Stages 1, 2, and kind of 3 are for building up lives/resources, 4-6 are for dumping them.
