Did you already get that gold wristband, /v/?
>>739604363Yeah. Still got to do all the Discover Japan stuff. Also trying to keep up with the seasonal stuff so I can get the related achievements before I'm locked out of it forever. Bullshit that they do that and I think I'm gonna use the achievement unlocker for Horizon 4 & 5, only once I get all the other achievements. Yes, it bothers me that much.
>>739604363I still suck at three starring drift zones. And there’s a few speed zones and things that I don’t think I have good enough cars for
>>739604363I am thinking about buying this game. I liked Burnout Paradise (well, all of the Burnout games), and I didn't mine Forza Horizon 4, despite not being MASSIVELY into it, but that might be a Gamepass thing. The dumb woke stuff doesn't bother me enough to avoid the game.Should I buy it?
>>739605339yes
>>739605339It’s essentially the same as Horizon 4. I was very into 4, not into 5 at all, which is again the same game. I am having a good time with 6. Probably circumstantial, but if you’re thinking about it, it can’t be a wholly bad idea.
>>739605501It looks like it might be fun to just fuck about in brainlessly. Is the online active?
>>739605501>I was very into 4, not into 5 at all, which is again the same game.Same, but it's entirely because of the map. Mehico just fucking sucks. 70% of it is just dirt and rocks. Horizon 6 has overtaken 4 as my favorite because the map is absolutely gorgeous. Wins big points for the northern region being perma winter, so you basically get a bit of everything during any season. Having a highway that circles the map is also a ginormous plus. Super fun to just go lightspeed down the highway.
>>739604887fuckin OCD retard
Any way to turn off the casualization (being able to drive through trees, being able to jump off cliffs and take no damage)? I already turned on the simulation driving model and damage, but that did nothing.
>>739605572Seems active. That’s what it boils down to, sit back and fuck around. Quintessential stoner game.
>>739605704Yeah, just don't do it.
>>739604363>Did you already get that gold wristband, /v/?no i'm making a race track in estate builder. its so fucking gay you have to put down a million foundation/platforms to avoid grass clipping and the road piece selection isn't good enough.
>>739605760Bought. Thanks, anon.
>>739605313>And there’s a few speed zones and things that I don’t think I have good enough cars forlike 4 and 5 there's some where they want you to resort to game breaking tunes to do them. you'll see even more of that as the playlists go on and on.
>>739604363I stopped playing when I finished all normal events and had to do all the bullshit ones like speed traps, speed zones, jumps etc. I am few thousands points short of gold wristband and I find those events even less fun than the races.
>>739605339It's like Horizon 4 but better handling & map so yeah>>739605572Very. Long term it will be active enough to race just fine based on previous games
>>739605313drifting is slightly harder in this game in comparison to older titles. you pretty much need to use higher horsepower cars to get even decent scores, and the dirt drift zones just flat out suck. keep your speed up, learn the racing line, use an awd car with full toe out, full camber and a 75%+ torque split to the rear if you have to. any of the formula drift cars will make it much easier.
Why does Famitsu refuse to review this game? Is it because it's not available on Switch 2 or PS5?
>>739605704simulation steering is for wheel users. if you're on a controller, don't use sim steering.
>>739605913>mouse is literally useless in building or even photomodeI was looking forward to arranging the garage, even building something, but the controls are so ass I simply cannot be assed.
>>739606489That's bullshit. Non-simulation does all kinds of hidden shit like dampening, making you not have a full control of the car. When you turn on simulation, the game gets the raw unfiltered signal from your stick like it would from a wheel.
>>739607232you're just making the game harder for yourself for no real reason
>>739607374You're the one making things harder for yourself by not using your controller to its full extent.
already done with all the content.
>>739607436It's a controller. As versatile as a device that it is, it's still not a 900° wheel as cars were designed to be controlled by. Now, I've seen aliens use unfiltered controller inputs with very impressive skill on pc sims that have poor controller support anyway. But, the filters are valid tools that are specifically meant to intuitively work over the faults of using a controller to begin with. If you want authentic driver's control over the machine, you're doing it wrong.
>>739605704yeah just don't do half the game that requires that shit like all the PR stunts on dirtretard
>>739607591me too, had a lot of fun though and will play for the seasonal stuff once a week until the expansions come out
I want to play more but it's way too hot right now. Turning on my pc would be foolish.
>>739606489>>739607374I skipped 5 but simulation steering become so much more usable on a controller in 6 compared to 4 where it was ultra twitchy and plain unusable for driftingThere's no reason not to use sim steering now unless your fingers lack the ability to use fine inputs for steering
i just put it on sim and didn't think about it, because it sounded cooler. on controller. decided to do a quick test on the dirt time attack in the MotoX VW Beetle, because the stock tune is pretty damn rough to handle. mostly i just noticed in Sim when i counter steer its more likely to just redirect me in that direction, which could make my line a bit wriggly instead of smoothened with counter steering. Standard feels more like you would expect/hope from counter steering, especially in this case of doing rally. in turn though, this meant when i was a bit off line and WANTED to redirect quickly, Sim was better. Sim was also better when i wanted to do a quick dive at high speeds, where Standard gave more understeer because its not as snappy. the second corner is a good example, it's an uphill bump with a slight curve you can take flat out, but you want to stay inside because it leads to a hairpin. i hit a better time overall on Standard, though i wouldn't take that much stock from lap times here. it felt more like i was just learning to be much lighter on the throttle and not wheelspin so much (that car in default Tune wants to be out of gear 1-3 ASAP and doesn't really do anything until 4th), so i ended up crushing all my other times with a lap that felt slower. says more about smooth driving and not being so aggressive even in rally, than it does the steering model, i think.tl;dr i still dont know which is better lol.
>>739608323I steer with forethought and throttle
Umm, Forza sisters, i'm already out of things to do in the game
>>739608486zoomers wanting eternal games is pure mental illness.
cool i'm gonna give sim steering a go. i never used it again after h4 since from what i read on the forza forums sim steering was for the full 900 or 1080 range of motion of a wheel and a controller would just be overly twitchy. at least your characters arms and hands actually show you working the wheel much better now. i just wish the game had per car fov settings some of the defaults are quite awful and some are pretty nice.
>>739608515nta, but if you spend 120 on a game, it should entertain you for just as many hours.>>739608396if you're drifting at all, you're losing time. learning how to apply throttle is more important than steering, and at a certain point lap times in cross country events become more about rng than actual skill.
>>739608515Well if the campaign wasn't dog shit i'd replay it
the wristband shit is the tutorial lol
>>739608563if you spent 120 then you get the DLCs and you'll get more than that amount in hours. I have 80 in the base game alone
>>739608639>hotwheels and lego again
>>739608676then you shouldn't have spent 120 on the version with the DLCs. Are you retarded or something?
Anytime a honda beat shows up in a lobby you might as well leave if it's anything but a circuit or dirtFucking thing is more broken than the tractor
>>739608708yes
>>739608826can't most cars be tuned to become godlike
>>739608486Are your rivals times good yet? If not, get to work.
>>739608826I guess they found the new bone shaker
I'm taking it real slow. hardest thing so far was the food deliveries 3 star rating
>>739609615Post a clean lap on every race in every vehicle class? Bruh
>>739608563>nta, but if you spend 120 on a game, it should entertain you for just as many hours.what a retard
>>739608515Horizon 2 was way longer, even Horizon 3 had every race event also start a 3 race championship. It's because MS want the game to be an eternal game with FOTM slop that it's now limited to two championships per week.
>>739609976You must also tune your own cars. And make your own liveries.
>>739605339This is my first Hoizon and first driving game in general since I don’t even remember and I’m having fun. I like just exploring things so far and collecting cars. Still getting used to racing and stop relying on blue line.
>>739608486There's never an end to the amount of shitters you can dab on in multiplayer
>>i've done everything in the game>he means the big partyslop icons on the map>>racing? eeuughhk no thanks
>>739610194At least you didn't mention building up the Estate
What's your go-to car right now?
>>739611709The RS200, just like in 4 and 5.
>>739604363No thanks

>>739611709barn nsx or the 22b impreza
>will be back home in the evening>want to play the game >not sure I have the time to install it tonightHow long will it take if I can do about 30MBps?
>>739613449Nah, bro. It's going to take over ten hours.
>>739604363Did during Early Access. Same with the Tourist. Now I'm parked waiting for the seasonal change to grind the pass.
>>739605339Do you want Horizon 4 but in Japan? Because Horizon 5 and 6 are just 4's gameplay but in Mexico and Japan, respectively.
*30 megabytes per second
>>739614012>>739614369
>>739605313just get a formula drift car like the supra, get the kenpai awd tune on it, turn off car stability and traction control and set it to manual, you'll blast through all of them in one try. i suck at rwd drifting, but the awd powersliding is so easy.
>>739604363u get banned if u make livery dev don't allow?
>>739614854
>>739614884what does "ban" entail in Forza? you can't play online with others anymore?
>>739614884That car is exclusive to Forza Horizon Greenland. The dude was basically datamining future content.
>600 cars>not a single DaciaWhat's the point
