It is honestly a get good skill base type of game. The learning bracket from being shit to decent is pretty rough. Always clear your jungle after pushes, sneak in and out of lane to do it, power spikes and learning all the enemy abilities along with your own. Maneuver mechanics because it turns out you are a dumb slow fuck if you aren't wall bouncing and lurching off everything. Even following a build you will get your ass killed and have to rely on your team to carry. Then there is the natural meta. If you have carries and they have no clue wtf they are doing it is practically over.

There's no non-ranked mode so you can't test a character against actual players in a mode that isn't ARAM, which is nothing like the actual game. The characters are hard to pick up, most of them aren't viable even if you know what you're doing, and they have to jump through too many hoops to do damage. That's why Victor got the shit nerfed out of him, because he could do damage without needing to first load up DDR: Deadlock Mix and play Through the Fire and Flames without missing a note.
