>Here's the coolest power set you've seen in a semi-sandbox game! You MUST play like a wuss and you WILL be penalized for killingWhy are the French like this?
killing is le bad o algo
I can't believe that all this time later people still spread misinformation about this game. Normalfags got THIS mindbroken by the game actually calling them a killer and NOT a heccin wholesome superhero?Anyways, you can get away with a good number of murder and still get a good ending. Additionally, the game SUPPORTS you when you're violent by spawning more enemies and giving you a kino grimdark ending. But nope, apparently the desired ending is one where Corvo genocides every random cop in the city but still gets headpatted and called a epic hero.
>>739605258Getting a sad ending isn't a penalty lmao. Go around and murderfuck everything, nobody will stop youZoomers have such thin skin
you aren't penalized for killingthe game is better with more enemiesyou are a stupid faggot who doesn't play videogamesas seen by first post you are also probably a shartyniggerkill yourself
>>739605258>penalized for killingHow?
>giving a shit about picking the path that devs consider badlol cuck
>>739605347>if you kill your enemies, the world becomes grim and darkpeak leftard cuck writing
Considering how much the normalfags bitch about the chaos system I'm surprised they don't suck off DOTO like crazy for disregarding that. It even has their heccin "strong BIPOC lesbian female lead" shitOh right. They don't actually play the games they just bitch about them
I dont like to be browbeaten for having fun, if the npcs dont like it they can go find another hero to support
>>739605586But that's wrong you retard. You can kill every single target and get the "good" ending. But if you go out of you way to murder guards and bystanders the world will indeed go into chaos.
>>739605586>kill all the guards and officers that are supposed to be working under you and Emily by the end of the gameI don't know how you're expecting this to go
>revenge story where the character is a mute retard and your revenge is had off screen or quickly and painlesslyThis automatically makes the game dogshit regardless of anything else. The only good part was when you could put your name in the guestbook.
>>739605258>play actionlike>get more enemies and action>play steath>get calmer levels betetr for more stealth>"penalized"Retard.
>>739605729It's not about revenge, you are trying to clear your name while protecting the rightful succesor to the throne. Do none of you fuckers play the games or pay attention to what the fuck is happening in the story?
>>739605258You misunderstood the assignmentThe "bad" ending is not the "wrong" ending. There is no extra content and no additional cinematics for not killing anybody, they are two different outcomes given equal respect, you should play how you want to play
>>739605846>not about revengemore than half the game you hunt down conspirators who killed your lover queen and tried to hang you for that
>>739605964Because they are trying to take over the throne and capture emiliy.
>>739605846>they kill your love in front of you and blame it on you but it's not revenge, okay chud?!imagine being this fucking stupid, even for a single second
>>739606019They didn't just retire and enjoy a nice vacation somwhere while you are tracking them down for revenge killing. They are still activley working towards their objective.
>>739606112case in point
>>739605729You can eventually find the High Overseer in the Flooded District after he's become a Weeper, which is not a quick or painless way to go
>>739605619you're a pathetic bitch
>>739605586You can kill your enemies. The world becomes grimdark if you instead murder a bunch of clueless cops just doing their job.>>739605729Did we play a diffent game or something...? You can assasinate all your targets. And objectively the "good" ways of dispose them are just worse fates than death.>Branded as a heretic>Made mute and sent to work in their own mines>handed over to a weird stalker so he can rape her>publicly exposed for all his crimes
>>739607219I'm convinced the ones who complain about the karma systems in these games just close their eyes and swing at anything that moves. Same shit happens with the metro series btw.
>"i'm too retarded to avoid detection and lethal kills"
Ever thought that having multiple ways to play is a good thing?
>>739607315this, or either they're retards who quickload every time they get spotted or accidently kill someone, thinking they'll get the bad ending.
>>739607315the metro series just requires you to do some ridiculously specific things to earn your good karma>sit around and listen to this random conversation for 15 minutes so you may earn one (1) good boy point>after spawning into the beginning of the chapter, turn around and walk into an empty corner for no reason>listen to the Fuhrer's speech>eavesdrop on literally everyone>enter a random out-of-the-way pipe and see a spooky skeleton
>>739605495Anon got a 3 minute cutscene telling him he had been naughty and that offended him greatly.
>>739608325Not all of this is required, you can stay in the positive just by not being a mouthbreathing retard. You can kill 100% of the bandit population and still have good karma.
>>739605586>if you leave a trail of corpses in a city infested by corpse-eating rats the rats will multiply making the city-destroying plague even worse>this is too difficult to graspI legitimately can't tell if you people are clinically retarded or if I'm retarded for falling for bait every time
>>739608426this. but some things shouldn't give you bad karma, like letting the traitor commie pavel die in metro last light(which basically locks you out of the "good" ending) or when you can kill monsters who were only "protecting their hecking kids" that happens some times in the games
>people die when they are killed>wtf that's bullshit I should be able to kill without consequence
imagine being so fragile that all the fun and enjoyment you got out of a game is suddenly and irreparably ruined because of the words "bad ending"
>2026>/v/ is STILL too retarded for Dishonored
>>739608627easy access to tutorials and walkthroughs have been a disaster for gaming. people will do anything instead of just playing games blind and accepting consequences. imagine how they must be irl, i bet they never dare do anything that has even the slightest hint of an uncertain outcome
For the low chaos end I wish you could keep Martin alive. It also sucks that you only get to speak to him in the high chaos end
>>739605650>>739605724Putting fucking hobos out of their misery gives you a higher "chaos" score than killing guards. Don't even try to pretend the whole thing isn't a mislewdingly named morality system. Disingenuous retards.
>>739605258I don't know, you tell mehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVq0af9DwPU&t=2026s
>>739605258You didn't get penalized for killing in Dishonored
>>739610860>Putting fucking hobos out of their miseryfeeds the rats, makes the plague worse, ends up indirectly causing more people to die, more parts of the city to become uninhabitable, everything to get worseretard
>>739612168Oh wow good thing when you kill a guard no corpse is left behind because his body just vanishes off into the ether. Or maybe the hobo's corpse is more nutritious to the rats? So much more nutritious that the super-rats it breeds are far more conductive to a chaotic society than the normal rats which feast on the people whose literal job it is to keep law and order. Would help to explain why these super-rats cause so much more chaos Got any more ytterly fucking retarded bad faith arguments you want to throw my way you fucking troglodyte?
>>739605258>You MUST play like a wuss and you WILL be penalized for killingBut the game does neither? Don't talk about games you haven't played, OP.
>>739612392I assume rats are more prevalent in areas filled with hobos so a dead hobo is more likely to become rat food.I kmow you figured it out yourself but pretended not to.
>>739605586The guards and the homeless are this anon's enemies but he's arguing in good faith, if you're just tuning in
>>739605586Killing the people responsible for all the suffering in the city is fine. Killing literally every single person who is just doing their job is not.
>>739612548I assume you do realise no amount of dumbfuck headcanon will cover up the fact that you think 1 extra pile of malnourished skin and bones on a pile of thousands upon thousands results in more chaos than killing people whose job is to literally prevent chaos. The sheer copium you're huffing because you refuse to admit that this is a basic "killing those who are hostile to you is less morally reprehensible than killing innocents who mean you no harm" morality system is genuinely laughable.
Episode 1 of director's commentary is outAnd they talk about thathttps://youtu.be/ZVq0af9DwPU?
>>739612772As I said, it's a matter of how rats are gonna get to the body.
>>739605258At no point is there a penalty.
>>739612987Each year in the US, between 17000 to 40000 homeless people die. Do you think there would be less dead people if instead of hobos, it was 40000 law enforcement officers?
>>739605616DOTO was dlc they got too greedy to release as dlc. Corvo and Emily both mask up being fugitives and it always bothered me Billy can walk around with her bare face on posters and looking like the Terminator with zero alarm from the public. And it screwed the Outsider lore.
>>739612772I don't understand what argument you're even making. You quoted two random people and made some weird nitpicky statement out of it. No one was talking about who is more "morally right" to kill. Killing both innocent people and guards just give you more chaos points. Also if you ever used the heart on the guards you'll hear they've done some fucked up things so they're not entirely innocent.
>>739613520>if you ever used the heart on the guards you'll hear they've done some fucked up things so they're not entirely innocentWhich wouldn't be at all relevant if it Dishonored worked with a chaos system rather than a morality system. A police officer is far more essential to maintaining order, especially in a case of national crisis, than a hobo, regardless of how much you think ACAB.
>>739613672Anon, what the fuck are you rambling about? No one cares retard
>>739613741Why are you getting angry over your own lack of reading comprehension?
>>739613365I think there'd be fewer rats.
There shouldn't be a fairytale good ending in this game to begin with. Corvo and Emily are stepping up during a grim time.
>>739605258it's the most boring stealth game I've ever playedmaybe if I was using powers and killed people it would be fun but there's an achievement for not using any powers which means it's how devs intended you to play
>>739614197There's no intended way to play, anon. An achievement is just some thing you can do for fun.
>>739608543Bitching about the bad endings in case of metro in particular is stupid.2033's 'bad ending' is what actually happened in the book. The so called good ending is a liberal ass take of trying to coexist with fucking monsters.
The directors said it’s set in an ugly world where every character and every place is kind of ugly, and you choose to become a part of that by killing soldiers, therefore becoming part of the ugliness.
>>739605258I went full chaos and it was fun. I went (almost) no kills and it was fun. I think my favorite moment in Dishonored is when I played High Regent Whatever's tapes and got him arrested but also still got to kill him because the guards walked him through an electricity gate that I'd meddled with.
>>739614161I see no issue with having a happier ending by going agaisnt the current bleakness of the world.
>>739614197dwag there a lot of achievements Play however you want
>>739613672So your entire spergout is about it being called chaos instead of morality?
>>739612058It was actually an interesting watch they talk a lot of stuff that was changed and cut out of the story and how guns and crossbows don't make sense in the same game and how blow could've been left on the floor
>>739614197Holy shit some of you people are straight up fucking sad to read>it's how the devs intend you to playYOU ARE PLAYING THE GAME, NOT THE DEVS, YOU PLAY HOWEVER YOU WANTjesus christ man
>>739614197>it's how devs intended you to playRemember that famous article about how people couldn't figure out how to go to the second floor of Lady Boyle's party because a guard was there saying it was illegalI remember
>>739614775What happened, man? How were these people just robbed of their drive to explore and experiment? How did these people end up on /v/ complaining that they didn't like a game because the fun way to play it wasn't what the dev wanted them to do?
>>739614775In the commentary, they talked about how some people couldn’t even find the key under the bread in the jail sequenceand all they had to do was interact with only interactable object
>>739614197Great bait, I hope so.
>I love murder :)>You love murder>WHAT THE FUCK >:(
People who complain about Dishonored's chaos system are genuinely the biggest retards to ever grace /v/.
>>739614552I said from the start that the game is trash because the devs punish you with a shit ending because you don't vonform to their retarded reddit cuck morality. It's you cuck fags who insisted that it is totally not a morality system but actually a very pragmatic measure of how chaotic things are. Maybe try not being a fucking moron who starts an argument based on pure delusion and then act indignant when I push back on your retardation?
>>739614959>Dishonored's chaos systemDishonored doesn't have a chaos system. It has a morality system.
>>739614971The chaotic end8ng is way cooler than the low chaos one. You virgin
>>739614959They're contenders alongside SOMA's coin toss threads
>>739614971>the devs punish you with a shit endingYou consider a cutscene with a grim tone a punishment?
>>739614775not related, it's a stealth game so of course you have to sneak in somewhere, but in stealth games you also shouldn't kill
>>739614971>WOOOHOOO I LOVE GORE AND MURDER >nooooo why is game so heckin mean to me Grow a spine it's fine
>I deeply care about this game's story and a sad ending will ruin all my enjoyment of the game>But I also intent to indiscriminately kill hundreds of people as I go through the cityI don't understand
>kill more people>this implies you enjoy killing, as killing is not mandatory>okay, here's extra guards that spawn because, you know, you're fucking dangerous and they know of your existence>these guards are indeed killable, the thing you enjoy doing>stop punishing me
>>739615056It's a game with problem solving and multiple ways to solve a problem, including murderFind a funny angle and shoot the guard from a distance if you really want the best of both worlds, like Hitman
>>739605258>I should be able to play easy murder-hobo mode in a stealth gameYes, yes, and you should get to start out as a rich nepo-baby in the game of life.
>>739615056>but in stealth games you also shouldn't killAccording to who, exactly? Dishonored's story works whether you make Corvo a revenge-filled murder hobo, a guy who does what needs to be done for the sake of justice, or a ghost that literally nobody ever knows is around.
>play Dishonored>most fun playstyle for me is to hang out on a rooftop, teleport down, kill a guard, then teleport back up>get the powers that make bodies automatically disappear so I don't have to hide them>kill most of the guards in every level>don't really care about a few additional rats in some levels
>>739605258The thing I like most about Deathloop is that it encourages you to play high chaos instead of pretends like raising chaos is a penalty.
It's threads like this that make me realize maybe we deserve pretentious shit like Undertale and Spec Ops
>>739610860>mislewdinglyRetard
>>739614971´>the game is trash because the devs punish you with a shit endingYou're a massive fucking retard, holy shit.
>Let Emily drop off the tower at the end>Get the "Emily died" endingWhat the FUCK
I’m not that anon but you’re seriously coping if you think it’s not operating on “killing bad so bad ending” logic
>>739615773Did you miss the part where killing a bunch of people in a plague-ridden city infested with rats that eat the corpses and spread said plague leads to an outcome where there's more fucking plague ravaging the world?
>wanton death and destruction is badwhoa...
>>739615828Did you miss the part where I already debunked your bullshit with the fact that killing the people responsible for preventing more chaos gives you lower chaos? No wait, you didn't you just conveniently coped and then ignored the fact.
>>739607526>3 hourslmao
>>739615958You're still killing people in droves. Sorry you're too retarded to understand basic shit.
>>739608441NIGGER THERE'S A POWER THAT FUCKING TURNS ALL CORPSES TO ASHHOW DO YOU RETARDS KEEP MAKING THIS MISTAKE?
>>739616210Clearly the ash is still nutritious to the rats, or maybe it’s just an illusion of ash
>>739605258The morality system was added late in development. Dishonored 2 is the better game for many of reasons but one of them being the ending not being largely affected by the morality.
>>739616092The scoring system is demonstrably inconsistent with the idea of it being based on chaos, instead being entirely in line with pacifist morality. You haven't been able to cope with this and now you're just saying random irrelevant shit>HUURRR U KILLOkay and, retard? Where's your argument?
>>739615028>>739615126>>739615147>>739615164Funny how the sperg didn't reply to these huh.
>>739605258>killing is le bad OK?hated that
>>739615318Scenario 1 : a man is dead in his heavily secured roomScenario 2 : a man is dead in his heavily secured room, so is the entire west wing. Can you guess where the killer in Scenario 1 snuck in from? Can you guess where the killer in scenario 2 snuck in from?
>>739615326That's what bothered me, game became too easy.
>>739615958I did miss the part where you explained how the game punishes you for killing.
>get picked by whaler satan to get superpowers>use them to kill cops out of spite>things go to shit>'how could this happen to me?'
>>739616950>>739617230>still no argument as to how malnourished vagrants are more essential to keeping the stability of the realm than law enforcementI accept the concession.
>>739617480Because they're not dead and being eaten by the fucking rats, who then get the plague, run around, and spread it to others.
Pathetic lol
>>739617480>still no argument as to how a 2 minute at the very end of the game cutscene constitutes a punishment for having fun playing a gameOk kid you win and are an internet chad, good jobAnd here I thought I was talking to an adult, oh well.
>>739617480>game gives you health pick up around the map>don't pick any of them Wtf they are punishing me for a different play style
>>739617480>people start randomly disappearing or turning up dead in droves, dozens in a single night>'how on earth could it negatively affect the behavior of a population when entire neighborhoods go missing overnight'
>>739617480You mean the law enforcement that are constantly shown to be corrupt and work only to keep the rich and powerful safe while they shit all over everything and let the common people die?
>>739608441Dudes like that just say dumb shit to get a rise out of people and it never stops working until you learn to ignore them
Dishonored's chaos system is one of the greatest litmus tests for whether somebody has an opinion about video games worth listening to. An incredible filter for such an overall casual game. I think you could even argue that it's a test of whether you truly like video games. Who actually likes video games that would be upset about a game responding to their actions and how they play it?
>>739605258The only penalty for killing people and making the world worse is that the world is worseCorvo is still happy at the end with Emily
>>739618117except when emily dies
>>739618056Personally, I think people underestimate how ahead of its time Dishonored’s morality system was too. Keep in mind that back during the 7th gen, most choices in games that affected them in a consequential way were done through either button prompts or dialogue choices (Mass Effect, Infamous, Bioshock etc.). Meanwhile, in Dishonored, the most consequential choices come down to playstyle and what NPCs you spare or kill. It’s a system that’s more dynamic and has aged better.
>>739605258>Why are the French like this?A question as old as France itself.
bump for retards
>>739605258I heard they added the non-lethal options at the last minute and you were originally meant to kill all your targets hence the skull mask and the sword
>>739605258The power set is why I stopped playing. Teleport. Blink. Fucking stupid. I gave it away trying to take it back. What a worthless pos.
