How many bosses does this trivialise compared to just using fast Bleed weapons? Magic still needs to know how to position for the vast majority of boss fights, while Bleed builds are almost as easy as using the Havel Knight set in Dark Souls 1.

It's not dogshit, but if you're not using ashes or summons (aka actually playing the game) and bosses are actually attacking you, playing a pure caster is appreciably harder than most other playstyles. Yeah you do a lot of damage, but so does the guy wielding two colossals mongo mashing jump attack and eternally stunning everything while being harder to kill than you.

To me, it’s all about finding good spells. My first character was a prisoner because I always played melee characters in previous titles. I ended up using the prisoner’s basic spell for nearly half the game since everything else I found felt worse. Mind you, that was just a few days after release and a lot of spells were pretty bad back then. It’s probably a lot better now since they’ve buffed so many of them.

It's pretty easy once you learn you can just spam Endure forever + cast as early as 5m in, though Miracles are much stronger than Sorceries especially due to Pest Threads being retarded, and Shield Turtle is also easier than both
It's strange how many still don't know the fucking enabler Endure is and bother wasting time dodging or whatever as a caster just to get a single spell in when you could be spamming shit forever

Playing sorcery only in Elden Ring is the most fun challenge run I've done in any Souls game. Don't just do the typical int build that flexes into dex or some shit but go actual magic casts only like carian slicer is your sword, meteor is your physical damage, cannon of haima is your high impact magic nuke, gavel of haima is your stun baton and so on
