Races and PR stunts aren't repetitive, it's not a grind, it's the fucking game (You) chose to play. The only grind is the dumb delivery mission.

You forgot to mention that most races were Dirt/Cross Country and it felt like you barely had any races on tarmac
Sure, there are Street races, but that is part of the other progression system and doesn't unlock content.

Anyway, you can do the drag strips (light tree icon) and time attacks, you need to run them with each car class and just set whatever time.
Trailblazers are pretty simple with an Unlimited Offroad car. You can get an R class from the playlist that can do most Speed traps and speed zones. Drift is pretty easy if you have formula drift car, you can get a Ferrari one as a reward from something.

That said, the grind for Gold wristband felt like busy work and I did not enjoy it.
First part of the game I was driving to the events myself. Here I was fast traveling from place to place just to get it over with

Tends to happen when you pirate games. Half the fun in racing games is racing with actual players, even if it's just ghosts emulating lap high scores.

It's not even that, they just slap some player names on bots, they have nothing to do with that player's performance on the track (if they even played it). The only mode where you can race against "real" ghosts is Rivals.

go into your journal. go the the races and rivals stuff in there. find that there are like 40+ courses across street, road, and touge, as well as rally. and yes they give wristband points.
yes its dumb, the map makes it look like there are only like 2 race circuits and a few side races that aren't part of festival progression, but the reality is there are actually shit tons of courses and races and they do give progression. you just aren't railroaded to them from the map.
i've only done the ubisoft "tick shit off map" a little as i was passing them, but i spent the final grind to Gold actually just racing as its what i enjoy.

I did everything except drift zones and then filled the rest with 30 and 50 points collectibles
