>daily shill threads prior to its release claiming it was going to be another classic "metroidbrainia" classic like void stranger, obra dinn, outer wilds, tunic or baba is you>anons get their hands on the game>it just suckswhat was that all about? any emuurom shills in the room to explain
>>739611761I have no idea how anyone kept their interest for this after playing the demo
>>739612271So is it shit? I was meaning to try the demo out.
>>739612995It's not bad but you could just play ESA and have a much better time
>>739613036And if you've already played ESA?
>>739613849play void stranger
bump
Decided to give this a day before playing it, thanks for letting me know it's not worth my time.
Whoever thought the bear boss was a good idea needs their game design license revoked.
>>739611761dunno but as a void stranger enjoyer I will now pirate your game, thanks for the shilling OP
>>739618584Every game I've played marketed as a "it's totally like Void Stranger!" game has been hot garbage focused on retarded shit like manually doing substitution ciphers, or braindead easy "follow the clearly labelled path".
>>739618775yeah but I'll get what I cannot like I'm paying for it
Never heard of it, what's so bad about it?
>>739613036So far I like this more than ESA. Though it makes me wonder if Finns just naturally confuse tedium with enjoyment, it seems to be a consistent thread for them.Someone please explain the ESA nuthugging, I played that shit all the way through to the usurpation ending out of spite. What a slog.
>>739611761Presumably they're desperate for anything after Blue Prince was hot garbage.
Here's a tip for people still playing it.On any screen hold down for awhile and you'll fall asleep, you'll then either get cryptic puzzle hints or the ability to no clip. While no clipped you can still access save flowers so you can use this as a poor mans quick travel.
>>739618475Honestly I didn’t think that one was that bad. Once it becomes a clusterfuck you just momentarily jump on anyone near a berry and they just solve themselves.I got to the Sus boss before calling it last night. I have no damn clue how to do what I think it wants me to do.
>>739619321I think you may have gotten lucky cause trying that I consistently just keep ending up with 1 bear left with no way to get it on the stack.
>>739619449That may be true lel.But how do you get "unsolvable" ones? Side switching with the bird doesn’t work?
>>739619608It needs to fall on the stack from the top right platform and the bird can't reliably switch it from the left to right because they run at different speeds. I think I could force it with well timed scanned freezes but I cannot be bothered at this point.
>accidentally stumbled into Forest CoverOh christ. Is scanning while on the birds supposed to let me noclip, this whole place feels jank as fuck.
>>739620104I don't believe it's meant to be an intended mechanic but it seems in general any moving animal can also do it (i.e. bears & turtles.I very much doubt it's meant to be a hidden mechanic and not just jank cause of how easy it is to do on accident as opposed to say >>739619117 which is a lot more cryptic in comparison.
>>739620104>>739620546I was also able to do it with the swaying flowers pretty consistently.I'm still split on if it's intentional or not. The flowers seem consistent but there was a critical path puzzle where I accidentally bear clipped and it took me 15 minutes to get back to where I was supposed to be.
