>>
as far as jank low budget souls clones go, thymesia is my favorite.
>>
>>739671249
have you played the first? You seriously hope for this turd being good?
>>
>>739672279
>thymesia
not available in my country gotta torrent
>>
>>739672320
First one was fine. The map design and twins janky boss fight were really its only issues.
>>
>>739672320
Yeah the first game was absolute fucking shit, both in terms of the gameplay concepts and execution, i don't think anyone should be holding out hope for this

Moral shells.
The 1st one was decent enough and the area design was the main downside. It is still better than most other souls/sekiro like and that final boss was really great.

>Other low budget souls/sekiro like
Personally the best souls/sekiro like are thymesia and ninseols. Their combats are just perfectly done and unique. Also If anyone wants to try a turn based one that feels like a perfect souls/sekirolike there is the Use of Life. It currently easily my favorite one.

Sorry you were born in Russia. You have my condolences. Being disconnected from the civilized world must suck,
>>
>>739672594
I can't agree at all. Thymesia is just okay at best and gets worse when you're going for 100% due to the farming necessary. The combat is also even jankier than Mortal Shell and feels off all the time. Steelrising does the Sekiro-esque gameplay significantly better than Thymesia, and Hellpoint outside of the DLC is probably the best low budget Soulslike once you get use to the feel of hitting stuff.

Just torrent it then it is easily worth the time. The other games mentioned in this thread as well honestly. If you enjoy some actual challenging combat that is. I always torrent 1st and buy them, if they really win me over. Buying 1st to try is for goycattle.

You point to the only giant boss in the game to say it is bad? That is dishonest as hell. Least use Urd as a showcase of the combat and how fluid it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6VxmqZN4ag

>Steelrising
Holy moly that is bad taste. Lies of P did the whole puppet angle better, with more style and less jank. Steelrising is easily one of the laggiest soulslikes with the most janky combat possible aside from maybe Enotria and the mentioned Hellpoint. A game whos performance is absolute dogwater is never gonna be good and thats why their steam rating is in the gutter.
>>
>>739672621
keep that gay shit to yourself nigger, nobody here is interested in your diary entree
>>
>>739672703
Steelrising is much too long. I was sprinting past everything in the last couple hours. Very unpolished.

>>739672924
Sounds like you're just incompetent at pirating.

The DLC is pure trash. On par with LotF's DLC.
>Unless you play on NG difficulty the bosses literally cannot be killed.
>If you are on NG+ the only way you can kill the first DLC boss is by abusing the DoT virus effect from one of the guns because you deal less than chip damage with the Lightsaber, the strongest weapon in the entire game.
>On NG+ all the bosses one-shot you no matter what you wear or your level.
>The 7 minute runback to the worm is beyond retarded.
>Normal enemies in the DLC in general are way too tanky even with the Lightsaber and even if you're on NG.
>Flamethrower guys one-shotting you even on NG difficulty is idiotic because you are forced into a small corridor that you have to push through to even reach them as they lob grenades your way.
>They force you to set warp points, otherwise the run back to leave the DLC areas are sometimes upwards of 6+ minutes. If you are at endgame there is no way to farm these until you reach Fear since the area before him has stuff that drops them which requires clearing all the DLC to do so.
>Not a single weapon from the DLC is good.
I've never been so disappointed in a DLC when the base game was so fun.

>>739673005
>You point to the only giant boss in the game to say it is bad?
No? I'm just showing an example of the farming. Urd was also fairly easy, but Mr. Bloodborne here was completely unfun to fight against. The maps are also very hit or miss, the Undying Queen map was not that fun but the circus one was alright.
>Steelrising is easily one of the laggiest soulslikes with the most janky combat possible
Nah, I disagree. Played it on the PS5 with no issues. Once you realize that the game is about staggering enemies ASAP it all clicks and becomes very fun. The map design isn't great though, especially since they're all just variations of "Destroyed French city".

we have chinks and koreans making good soulslop these days (wuchang, lies of p, berserker, stellar blade, wukong....) you don't need to play garbage made by westerners anymore (people only played trash like lotf, surge, mortal shell, ashen, hellpoint cuz there were no alternatives a few years ago)
>>
>>739672828

I prefer dying with gun rather than with dag/chechen dick in my hand.

>wuchang
really meh, unmemorable basic bosses and nothing unique to the combat or anything else. And censored and removed the ability to kill some things.
> lies of p
very clunky combat, horrible story and everything past victor is poorly designed. Dlc is godawful, even if Arlecchino is an amazing last boss lea ruins it and the game semi forces u to use her.
>berserker
not terrible, but for a high budget soulslike tied to a franchise it is nothing special
>stellar blade
gooner slop with horrid story, dialogue and intended 1 second delay that ruins the already poor sekiro combat. Also the area design is one of the worst. Easily the worst of the bunch named. Only held up by gachacucks that worship the director.
>wukong
the games only draw is being based on journey to the west. Otherwise it is a 1 button masher where you dont even have to avoid stuff. No boss is really memorable or nicely designed either.
>lotf
this one is indeed bad due to combat being more damage spongey, but i would still rank it above wuchang and stellar blade, but below berserker of kazhan
>mortal shell
would put it above lotf, since it has unique hardening mechs and an amazing final.
>ashen, hellpoint, surge
why go for the weird indie ones with tiny teams no one knows and compare em against 200-500 mil budget ones. Instead of stuff like Remnant? The games are rather evenly bad even then. Only Taiwan is creating absolute gems like Thymesia and Ninesols with masterful combat. The rest is only passable usually.

I'll buy it in a summer sale if:

- no woke content (nods to gay/trans shit and woke narratives)
- no "body types" as descriptions for the shells (2 has women shells unlike part 1)

my honest opinion on action games similar to souls
>Wukong
very interesting game. Sometimes maps a just corridors, sometimes they're open world. Cool cinematic bosses, some of them challenging. Combat is rather tight and builds are straightforward.
Overall enjoyable and worth playing.
>Berserker Khazan
Interesting game from koreans but very gloomy, all maps feels the same, feels like I'm playing some shitty MMO. It's actually good but for me personally the dull colors in every map just killed all the desire to get to the end.
>Immortal unchained
indiejunk with shooting guns instead of regular melee, I personally liked it a lot, many bullshit moments but still fun, difficulty is high and interesting alien cyberpunk atmosphere
>>
Part of me feels like I'm getting Lords of the Fallen'd by that new gameplay trailer (unreasonably hyped for a new game in an unproven series that only deserves cautious optimism at most) but ngl it really does look like a massive glow-up from the first one. Didn't play it but I've heard more mixed/bad than good opinions. One more impressive showcase and I'd strongly consider a preorder fully knowing that that's a mistake. Stupid sexy soulslike...

>lies of P
sekiro but rather linear.
Bosses are cool and memorable, some difficulty spikes. At some point feels more like a boss rush game, quality stuff worth playing.
>Nioh series
only first one worth playing. A lot of "new" stuff that felt fresh in first title was just copypasted and dumbed down in sequels.
>wuchang
Combat can be a little janky but chinese setting on top of very solid map design and exploration with some challenging bosses nails that souls feeling.
played many more title but they either widely known or not impressed me too much to care.
