The sci-fi elements are cool, and the movie is great, but most of the show is just mind melting SoL which I despise. Maybe even on repeat in the case of endless 8. Mostly I just wanted Kyon to slap Haruhi's shit in.I'm not sure I'd recommend only watching the movie or watching the entire show for it, but if you do end up watching the show anyway then 100% follow it up with the movie.
