>you know what sucks>megacorporations and crapitalism>so here's a game where in lore they ruined everythingIf the story doesn't affect the game, why not write a story about a world that makes you happy? Is the point to be miserable?
>>739677054Because they're making a statement that corporations are...LE BADTo be fair they are, but it's literally just common knowledge at this point.
>>739677054what was wrong with the corporation in satisfactory?
>>739677054How the fuck do you miss the point so badly?>includes Hardspace Shipbreaker Are you retarded?
>>739677054>why not write a story about a world that makes you happy?fiction is famous for making sure to never include any conflict
imagine being such a goylem that even seeing a fictional corp implied as being bad upsets you. imagine defending corporations that dont even exist
>let's LARP as a Reaganite boomergolem during an era of peak corporate power, with labor rights in the toilet, increasing wealth inequality and while corporate power is making political moves to disenfranchise the people foreverWhat terminal contrarianism does to your brain.
>Pretending to be a corpobootlicker for modern fictional companiesYou sound like those idiots who genuinely think Shinra did nothing wrong in FF7
American behaviour.
>>739678086You'll say all that but you will never ever ever make a peep about how all of these problems stem directly back to God's chosen ones
>>739677054The only legacy Shipbreaker has besides the fun ship deconstruction part of the game is the story and characters being utterly insufferable they might as well just not have included it and the game would be better for it.
>>739677838>tolkien lived through trench warfare in a privileged position and noted commentaries on the class system and where it sometimes fell apart in the bloodshed>no-one won WWI and tolkien was so sick he couldn't fight in it>wrote a classless christianised mythology of good versus evil, where good wins time and again, and bad things only happen because of bad peopleHuh, imagine writing about a conflict that doesn't rant politically in a pathetic manner... nah, it'd never sell
>be modern vidya corpo>make vidya ranting about corps being evil and hope they all die>everyone supports this, we need to eat the rich, and doesn't buy the product>your company dies and you're firedHmm
>>739678345They even changed the story somewhat and made it extra gay. In the original you could actually just rebuild the salvager ship and pay off the debt but then they changed act 2 and added an extremely gay act 3. I thought they'd make post-game DLC where you get to say adiós flying off on your salvager to do your own thing but instead they basically admitted they can't code for shit so modded ships are never happening and the company just did damage control despite the game turning away from what the audience wanted. They could have let it cook for a bit longer to unspaghettify the code but instead they just went all in. The PR and HR troons also put their foot down on mixing diagetic and non-diagetic legalese on beta testing applications outside of the game, really showing you how incompetent the whole place is. Same gang that released Deserts of Kharak then trooned out and released HW3.
>>739678227Funny how corpo dick suckers can't accept the idea that it can be both. You know, the fault of the jews and the fault of those corporations those jews are running
>>739677054>game where in lore megacorporations ruined everything>game is about fixing this problem instead of complaining about itCould be good. Although it'd inevitably be "burn down everything" with no details on what replaces it.
>>739677465You strip mine a planet with a biosphere.
>>739678227Ah yes, famous jews like Jensen Huangstein or...Elon Muskberg...
>>739677054"big corpo sucks" is just an easy excuse for the protag to be thrown into wildly dangerous scenarios while making it so that they can't just leave
>>739680724I've heard Musk actually is jewish but never bothered to verify.
>>739679391Actually that seems to be an older, if not precursor, story format worked>thing bad>plot and game mechanics are about removing bad thing>game ends with everyone cheering now that... the entirety of society is without a steering wheel or gasoline>game reverts to just before everyone was liberated so you an keep removing bad thing>sequel sometimes starts with "Somehow bad thing returned" or "Somehow things never became good" or "Somehow this is set in an alt universe where bad thing never ended"but it's 10x better than NOT fighting bad thing and just complaining about it or rubbing your nose in lessons about why thing bad even though you've never met thing and never will
>>739679823And? Do you know how many of those there are in the grand scheme of things?
>>739680724Elon Musk you say? The man who got his fortune from government contracts?Let's take a look at this government of ours...>White House is 30% jewishhmmmm
>>739681460Musk got his fortune by being born into a rich british family in south africa, everything else was just falling upwards and robbing more people, like every millionaire/billionaire
>>739677465You have an unreasonable contract, your coffee isn't actually coffee and it's unsafe to consume it, you're unpaid, they'll keep printing you until you do the job, they lie to you about what it's for, they hate christmas, they sell verification checkmarks, they made the cybertruck, and ultimately they've unleashed a rampant AI on the galaxy
>>739681630Hey don't be mean to Bernie Sanders like that
>>739677054It's fine in satisfactory because the player is the kind of psychotic factory fetishist that enjoys the company plopping them down on a plant to mine the fuck out of it.
>>739677054Well, corporations are bad, OP.
