I'm turning 30 soon and my mom told me I can't be a NEET anymore so now I need to find a job
I have never worked in my life, how do you guys manage to still play games while having a full time job? Do you mostly only play games on the weekends? Will I still be able to play really long RPGs like I used to?

I work 43 hours a week, come home play games for 4-7 hours a night, play for 16h a day on weekends. It's not that hard. You'll be tired at first but you'll get over it.

Work?

> my Section 8 Housing allowance is $2300 per month (my rent is only $800)
> I recieve $350 per month in EBT food stamps, $150 of which I trade to my neighbor for weed
> Autismbux is $1,500 per month

Add in the around $500 a month in additional benefits and I clear $4,000 per month in profit even after rent, utilities and groceries are paid off.

At 36, I have around $500,000 in savings. Not one dime of that from a "paycheck".

I havent worked in over 10 years and I clear around $4000 a month in revenue.

I am 32 and I've been working as a toll collector since 2022. I have to work in rotating schedules (8 hours on morning/afternoon/night shifts) every 6 days and then I have two day off.
I got used to this job now but the pay if really awful (making less than 40k per year). I've been looking for a better job but i had no luck so far.
After job, I have some hours to play (like 4 hours) and then i play 10hrs on my days off.

It's super easy to come up with video game playing time.

First off: The hellish front line jobs at a Walmart or fast food joint will wear you down significantly and you have no control over your schedule. Those are the ones that really get you to feel like you want to do nothing.

Once you're in a real profession with a regular schedule (8 hour days, paid vacation, 40 hours a week) you have a lot more time than you would think. A big marquee release you just have to play? Week of vacation, what were you going to do otherwise? Fly someplace sunny, sit in the sun, and sip an alcoholic beverage? Just want to grind in an RPG? There's two whole days with nothing to do as long as you live in an apartment and aren't obligated to go to church. Then there's the non-work period. Even if you want to say you're at work 9 hours a day because you have to drive to and from work or factor in a lunch, that's 7 hours of time you can mess with for free time and still have 8 hours of sleep (or more like 10 hours of gaming plus 5 sleep if you're min/maxing.

> How to NEETmaxx

If you life in a state like California, Autismbuxx is generally around $1,500 - $3,000 per month

Section 8 will pay your Housing/"Living Expenses" based on the median cost of area that you live in - NOT - what you actually pay in rent.

So, a place like the Bay Area, will provide around $2,500 in living stipends. But I do not spend $2,500 on actual rent, so I pocket the rest.

Likewise as I have "no income" I am eligible for food-stamps, most of which I trade or outright sell. Utilities like electricity, water and internet are all paid for by the state.

Same with medication, I get prescribed Adderall and Xanax and Percs for FREE and sell them to college students for spending money.

Speaking of college, you can get student grants for schools that teach remotely. So for the price of having to fill out a simple exam test at the end of the week, they will also pay you housing stipends. As your rent is already paid, you just pocket that.

29 y/o here with 9-5. It’s more like a 10-5 because my boss is chill so I’m lucky but the commute is 2 hours anyway.
I wake up at about 8:45 AM and get ready in under 15 minutes. Get home at about 6:30, be done with shitting showering eating and all that shit by 8. Next 2 hours are for productivity, spend 2 hours doing something that’s going to help you escape 9-5. The next 2 hours are for vidya, so I get maybe 10 hours of vidya through the week but I can push it to 20 if I’m not doing anything productive.
Essentially, you need to fight for time. Get a notebook and record how long you spend doing everything. I was spending an enormous amount of time masturbating and showering so I had to cut that shit down.
YOU NEED TO GET ENOUGH SLEEP. This is the most important thing because if you don’t do this you’ll burn out and have no energy for anything at all and everything is in vain. Do not medicate and do not do drugs that will dull the anger and misery - you need to suck on these feelings to help push you upward out of toil. Remember to save as much money as possible so your toil hours aren’t just evaporating into thin air, make use of money (you won’t get pussy but you’ll stack gold. women are shit and fucking boring anyway) but try to be smart with money, don’t just let the jews take all of it - at least put it in a HYSA.

NTA but the problem with parasitism isn’t that it’s morally corrupt it’s that it’s not sustainable. Obviously there are billions of people on earth that eat on whitey’s dime for free, there’s no question about that, the knowledge that I pay for it is no different from the knowledge that I pay for all of Ben’s missiles. The problem is that it’s impossible for EVERYONE to eat on whitey’s dime so it’s just another lifeboat to “fail upward” into the same as any lucrative position in life, except in this circumstance I’m competing against trillions of niggers to live like a nigger amongst niggers as one of the millions of teeming nigger mouths who will immediately starve if there’s a momentary sag in the global economy or a moderate political shift

Around 1/4 to 1/3 of job listings are ghost jobs. The remaining ones are all either actual jobs (given to "people" who will accept salaries so low you cannot physically compete) or bullshit jobs (given in priority to women, browns, gays and the likes, if not through direct nepotism). UBI isn't a fantasy, it's genuinely the only way society can move forward without killing the overwhelming majority of the population. There are no jobs, it's not a matter of le politicians (though bad laws obviously worsen the issue), there aren't any jobs to do because technology has advanced far too much for a very long time.

We don't need so many workers, the "everyone needs to work" mentality is full on delusion. So since real job openings basically don't exist anymore, they're given as favors to protected groups and friends. Trying to get any job without connection or a special status is a full on humiliation ritual, utterly pointless, and that's not even talking about how much you'll be raped by the taxes on your already shitty salary.

I have no responsibilities outside work so I game all weekend long.
On work nights it just depends on my mood. Sometimes I’m sick of sitting at a desk staring at a screen by the time I get home and that’s the last thing I want to spend the rest of my night doing so I just read in bed or whatever. But if I am in the mood for vidya that still leaves me like 3/4 hours after I eat and shower.
RPGs and real grindy games are mostly all I play too, never feel like I don’t have time for them.

it's funny because everything points towards the latter. once machines have made the majority of humans obsolete, the world's population will plunge accordingly to be ruled by pockets of affluent globalists. we're already on the path towards the near-complete brownification of the world

Get a night shift security job. Low requirements, they'll higher almost anyone as long as you don't have a criminal record which being a NEET, you likely don't, and if you jump around a bit it's pretty easy to find a chill one where you'll mostly just chill. Pretty good gig if you're into handhelds or got a portable setup, I even knew a women who used a Quest 3 for vrchat on her shifts.

you still want to game? im also turning 30 in 4 months and i dont play games anymore unless its a really good videogame that i really like (which are very few)
also i have internet autism with 0 friends and i get really nervious when meeting people (i play future scenarios 100 times in my head. i hate how my brain does that)

Also i've been cool with being alone my whole life, but this last year has sucked a lot, i feel very lonely, i've considered looking for a job to just meet people or have contact with people IRL.
there are no neetbucks in my country, spain (wtf, nice 1st world welfare, holy shit), so i cant even try and join social events because they all cost money (desu i dont even know where i would even start)
i think i'd like to become a full time parent of my own child. taking care of kids brings me joy (i think), but male babysitters and frowned upon and the market is saturated anyway

tldr: AI better come soon and change things quickly because i cant stand this any longer. but alas.. nothing ever happens..

Gotta bite the figurative bullet anons. Or else youll eat the real one. Your 20s is the only decade you can waste and bounce back from. Even people that lose everything in 40s/50s still have positive baggage, but wasting 20-30 is your serious only fuck up. You arent as behind as you might think, but you are not ahead.

That said if yoy neet, no rent, and have no money, or worse debt, you are being so fucking stupid. This is the only year ive ever had rent free(not expenses like food/car/gas/medical) and the only year I get.

Stop fucking around retards, and for the younger zoomies, do not fall into this trap.

>you still want to game?
Yeah, I'm surprised about this. I'm 35. Was a NEET from ~19 till 29. By the time I was 30 and got a job, I was completely burned out on entertainment. To this day, I still am, I wasted ten years going through every type of show, movie, music, game, anime, manga and finding out precisely what I liked and didn't like and over those ten years I went through everything I thought had any value. I do still read books, but the good ones that I actually finish are few and far between.
In my free time now, I volunteer at my SPCA or cook or write. Not sure if or when I'll ever get the desire to watch or play something again.

>>739683585
I'm turning 30 soon as well anon and almost in the same boat; but I have an education
The trick to being to keep playing vidya and even have a social life is to create daily schedules to adhere to-- always set aside a block of time in your day (maybe 2-3 hrs, always at the same time) to play vidya and you will be able to keep it up no sweat. I personally play just a bit before bed.
A side note about getting a job: all jobs suck but dont ever get involved in anything that is a fucking trap
Dont work for comissions (especially if you are a social autist) and get something with regular pay.
If you are fit, you can still join the military in most countries and thats pretty good because its like an extended NEETdom
I believe in you anon, you and I can both take on our 30s together and we WILL make it someday!
>>
>>739708993

I'm 38, 39 soon. I work on average 40h a week, 12h night shifts so usually 3-4 shifts a week. I live alone, I have no other responsibilities but to work and pay bills. I'm living on my own for like 10 years and it's been great.

When I have a free day and I'm not after work:
>wake up at 11am
>watch anime, play video games, eat and jerk off till 3am

When I have to go to work but I'm not after work:
>wake up at 11am
>watch anime, play video games, eat and jerk off till 6pm
>go to work

When I'm after work but don't have to work that day
>came home around 7am
>watch anime, play video games, eat and jerk off till 9am or sometimes longer
>wake up whenever I do
>watch anime, play video games, eat and jerk off till 3am or sometimes longer

When I have to go to work and I'm after work
>come home around 7am
>watch anime, play video games, eat and jerk off till 9am or sometimes longer
>wake up at 5pm
>watch anime, play video games, eat and sometimes jerk off till 6pm
>go to work

But it's pretty flexible. I basically do what I want, I just need to go to work and not fall asleep. When I wake up too early I nap for like 2h during the day to not fall asleep at work. It's not that hard job, I've been working there for 14 years and after a while they made me a shift manager, so I don't have to do much now, mostly telling others what do to and some reports in Excel.

I got kinda fat recently due to drinking loads of soda and eating unhealthy mostly ordered fast food, so I decided to try a diet in a box. It's actually amazing. I stopped going to stores, so I buy less shit like soda. I eat healthy. I'm not hungry. I don't have to cook or do anything. I'm actually loosing weight while doing even less then I was doing before. Moneywise it's basically the same or even better than when I was ordering food.

Thanks for reading my blog post.

You work 8 hours a day, five days a week. Even accounting for a long lunch break (1hr), long commute (30min both ways) and long prep time in the morning (1hr) that's only 11 hours a day. If you sleep a generous 9 hours that's 2 hours a day of vidya during the week, and all day on weekends, so about 40 hours a week. You'll make do. Ironically when I stopped being a neet I found myself playing more games, not fewer. When you have infinite time you tend to just lounge around and be lazy; you'll spend 15 minutes scrolling through your library just deciding what to play. When you only have two hours a day you end up in a rigid schedule. You plan ahead of time, "tonight and tomorrow I'm playing X, on Thursday, Y, etc."

The ones in my area give you a caseworker who is supposed to help you track down stable housing, employment, and public benefits you're eligible for to help get you on your feet. If you're not a mentally ill nigger who blows up your life constantly by immediately boosting as soon as you get released from prison, then it might be good for you.

I had a coworker like this, once. Just could not handle working a job. I'd take him out to lunch sometimes because I felt bad for him, and he would ruin it by having a panic attack the entire time, even when I would explain to him that nothing was wrong and I've been in the same situation he's in before and it was never an issue, etc., etc. Didn't help at all.
I'm not even like a super tough or resilient guy, but I managed to tank my boss hating my guts and talking shit about me to my face and HR threatening to fire me over some bullshit problem created by one of my coworkers without losing my fucking mind.
I just don't know how people get to the point where their anxiety is so bad that they can't do anything.

It's not a choice, it's a fear loop in your brain. I used to have it horrible, then over the years it got better. Then sometimes it will happen again out of nowhere, but within a week or so it works itself out.
The trick is you need to stop telling yourself you have it, you need to no-sell it and act like you don't have anxiety, and then form new normal pathways and over time it starts to fade away. I've tried helping a girl at my work by explaining how I overcame it, and she says "you must not have had anxiety or depression because it's a lifelong disorder, I'm NEVER getting rid of it"
With that mentality, no, you're never going to get rid of it.

I have a small cleaning business and am not working full time job hours. I'd hate doing that, or anything really, full time but it being my business I can decide what I do. Cleaning windows gives insane money really quickly for how easy it is but mainly I do offices
Cleaning is ez if you aren't retarded and it's not like with office jobs where you never actually have free time because you are bringing your work or worries about work home with you. That's just not happening with cleaning. You show up, do you shit, leave and forget about it.
>>
>>739712879
>>739712956
I've also had panic attacks (several, in fact, especially whenever my boss would shit on me or when HR was fucking with me for no reason). I remember one time my coworker (the same one who got me in trouble with HR, incidentally...) fucked something up at work bad and my boss made it my problem. I was so underwater that I remember going home every night for 2 weeks and just screaming and crying into my pillow all night without sleeping.
What I don't get is the paralysis. Doesn't your fight or flight kick in?

The worst part is that money doesn't even make the man. I know a few filthy rich crypto people and they're all druggie degenerates living in shitholes, the standard "made it" fare. Not sure if that's any more respectable than being a neet
>>
>>739713410
The key is to have a good career. Working isn't so bad when you actually enjoy the job. Cryptofags are nothing but NEETs that know how to gamble. In their case, money doesn't change what's on the inside.
>>
>>739683585
Just get a job, any job it doesn't need to be highly skilled. You need to show that you are willing to work before you move into any real career. I myself haven't worked too many jobs either and haven't finished college yet but I recently got hired for an IT desk job since I need the experience and to get my foot in the door. I'm 28 as well.

Nothing makes it better except time and distraction. The less I think about the occurrences, the less they happen.

when people in your vicinity give you shit over everything you do or don't do go as far as to butt into your affairs and nitpick the dumbest shit (you get shat on for talking back regardless of whether you're right), you start becoming too self-conscious for your own good and feel like you're no good no matter how hard you try.
eventually, you end up internalizing these feelings and lose all self-confidence, sinking into learned helplessness (don't even bother trying, a good for nothing like you would fuck it up)
think of it as an extreme version of the pygmalion effect
>>
>>739711342
No, you'll just condemn yourself to a lifetime of shit jobs. You could try to find a program at a local technical school, they usually have companies they work with so once you finish the program you could get into a job or apprenticeship. There's also the military if you can qualify, much better than prison, as long as you get into a job that's transferable to working outside of the military you should be fine. Every ex IT military guy I know makes six figures as a contractor, and government jobs are generally slow, easy, and tard proof. Additionally, if you get any injuries or conditions or whatever you can get disability and go back to being a NEET.

>inb4 dying for israel
There are plenty of jobs that never deploy or even go overseas. I'd still recommend trying out a technical college or something first though.

My current issue is more relationship than job problems.
Wasted the past 7 years of my life on some retarded whore who ended up cheating on me with some other whore she barely knew. Her excuse was that I was "too busy" and neglecting her too much. My reason for doing so? Working my ass off twice as much and saving up money so we could work on living together because she pushed me into doing it while she sat at her home 24/7 on the internet with her friends.

Fuck. I couldve had kids by now with some other far better chick if I just left her. On NINE different occasions her own friends tried getting me to leave her for them. I should have been an asshole and did it. I'd probably be married with kids right now. Fuck.

Im almost 30 as well. Have been working a full time job for 3 years now.

I play video games pretty much every day. I start work at 6am, get off at 2:30pm. Usually try to workout when I get home then shower then gayme/read/watch anime/come here until bedtime at 8pm-10pm.
I work an office job where I spend most of the time on my phone or chitchatting with coworkers about vidya or whatever.

OP, the best lifehack you can do as a NEET-inclined person is to get a bullcrap job where you sit all day and make good money i.e. go to college. My job used to be hybrid but now its all in office which isn't as bad as I thought it would be since nobody actually works in an office (depends on the place. Seems to be a sweatshop or do nothing)

shrinks call it "avoidant (maladaptive) coping". you deal with threats by procrastinating and avoiding them. unfortunately, that means joblessness
on the other end you have "approach (adaptive) coping" (aka grin and bear it, lie to yourself and trick yourself into believing your job isn't shit, etc.). some people can't handle this kind of intellectual dishonesty, so they fall in the other camp

They are a lot harder to get nowadays, but if there is a will there is a way.
Try the federal government, super large employer, hard as heck to get fired (after 2 years), everything is slow and you're always waiting on somebody/something, and work life balance is great. Only issue is pay isn't as amazing as private industry but who cares about money after a point. I save 3k a month right now mostly because I have no clue what to do with it, besides save for a house which looks borderline impossible right now.

>>739715339
And true enough. Once I get my head in the right place again I'll probably go out of my way for a relationship in the next year or two.

The main issue is the time wasted. Hindsight hit me like a truck with all the better things I could have done with all of that time wasted on her.

Don't get caught up in romantic nostalgia dude, you would have fucking hated it. You spend all your time doing hard labor until oops it's time for war and you get conscripted with all the other young men in your village to get trampled to death by men with armor and horses and great shining lances. If you somehow survived that you'd most likely die in horrific pain to a disease that would be easily treatable in the modern day. Your diet would be worse. Your hygiene would be much worse. You'd be scarred, battered, pock-marked, have your skin tanned to leather by the sun, and you don't get days off because days where you aren't laboring are days when you're not generating food for your family and tax for your liege lord.

Holy cope. No lord would ever levy a peasant that didn't know how to handle a weapon and the total army sizes were minuscule for like a thousand years until the early 1800s.
99.99% of peasant life is living in your village just worrying about crops. You work barely 100 days a year with heavy work during sowing and harvest in late august.
You had constant social life with the rest of the LOCAL community at dances, church or whatever celebration. No worries about having to compete with some jeet half a world away.
If you're from a craftmen's family then you learn to do that otherwise you till the land. Diet is half a meme because depending on rng you got enough protein from fishing on top of all the billion grains.
I actually spent my childhood at my grandpa's farm and if there's one thing farmers have no worry off is the lack of food. Hygiene isn't worth you just need to waste your time drawing more water than usual.
>muh days off
If you're a serf you'd be barely expected to make it to the field by 10am, waste time and the liege would have to pay for your lunch. It's actually well documented that it was very hard to force people to work the lord's land because people would dick around chatting instead.

there is some truth to being able to brute force your brain into being less miserable, but its only so elastic. >Do people who talk about getting ghosted all the time go for high paying jobs?

I don't apply for high paying jobs, I apply for jobs that actually meet my skillset.

Predominantly .Net core, ASP.net and Blazor dev jobs.

Most of these jobs don't actually list salary. And yet I see them fucking everywhere in my area as well as the city.

And yet every time I apply to these, I just get ghosted no response, or some automated "we're sorry, we concluded that you were not a good fit" kinda nonsense.

Its fucking infuriating and is giving me Migraines after applying too many times.

The only thing that matters in the end is connections

It has nothing to do with skills or proficiency. Or hard work. It’s simply about knowing the right person. Modern economics is about ingratiating oneself with the wealthy, powerful, or well-connected

I think it's highly dependent on the profession you go into. STEM, IT, and fake office jobs where you sit in a cubicle and work on excel spreadsheets are extremely oversaturated so getting work there is a total runaround even for entry positions. My brother got an engineering degree and does the stereotypical thing of sending his resume out to hundreds of companies all across the state, going for 1-2 rounds of interviews and then getting hosted for 5-figure entry-level engineering tech positions. Meanwhile I had half a dozen job offers literally fresh out of law school. I was getting offered attorney positions months before I even knew if I passed the bar.

>a career with upward growth
that only happens if you have a good job, in the first place. you will end up like the thousands of deadenders working dead end jobs because everything thats not a good office job at a good company is pretty much a dead end. Job doesn't matter for anything. If you are moving up in your career it's not because of your job, unless you already have a good job, but because you had friends in high places, which is irrespective of your job.

>skills so you can get another job
also doesn't matter. No one is hiring you for skills, they hire you because you got recommended, and then pray that you have skills, or just expect you to learn them there. Which is why so many people work jobs where they can't even operate a fuckin computer properly to do their job.

You're not actually a fuck up, this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You believe as a matter of faith in your own incompetence and so you are incompetent.
I spent a lot of time in my career being told that I suck and that I should quit, and most of the time when I was told that, I almost listened. But there were just enough times that I ignored people shitting on me, I put my nose to the grindstone, and knocked their socks off that I started to realize that I am actually good at what I do, I deserve my job, my money, and my happiness.
You need to put yourself out there without the intrusive thoughts just long enough to realize that you're far more capable than you think.
Not sleeping due to stress and going through my day on autopilot mode is what let me do things without the self-doubt, not that that's really a great recommendation or tip, but do you do what you have to.

Don't fall for the section 8 trap, just keep your rents low as possible to still account for maintenance, and rent out to lower-middle class tenants and so long as you don't fuck them over with annual swooping rent increases you'll have easy money for your entire life.

Stay away from welfare niggers, though. They will destroy your property irreversibly and be protected by the state for it.

It's the most embarassing part of the whole thing. Most jobs are terribly easy to do if not for the massive amount of soul crushing time you spend at work, and most jobs actually require almost no qualifications. It's insane the number of hoops you have to jump through to do something as easy as mopping floors or driving a van. Sometimes you need a degree and years of experience just to be a glorified landscaper. It's total ass out there right now with the job market and with the majority of postings just being data collection. It took me six months to find a job, I was the manager at the last place I worked and I have two related degrees to my field of work.

not everyone has had your same pampered on rails life
>>
>>739687074
Faggots like you have both parents, never lost a daughter, never picked up a shovel, and went on vacations and will look you dead in the eye and tell you they aren't privileged. Yes, school is extremely easy when life isn't actively dicking you down

Would 300k invested in brokerage accounts and $10,000 in a checking account help you understand my normalfag mindest? Because it sure helps me.

Let's be real here, no NEET is accepting advice, condescending or not. You barely bathe or brush your teeth.

At least you're honest

if there is something worse than neeting up your 20s, it is going to prison. some employers may reject you because of your blank work history but sooner or later one will accept you. having criminal history means 90% of employers will just straight up ignore you. Not to mention the social stigma.
>>
>>739724723
I'm sorry you feel that way but I was never seeking your validation to begin with.
>>
>>739724759
Yep there it is. Just say you despise people who don't have to suffer as you do, reddit-kun
>>
>>739724663
80% of your time is dedicated to making a jew richer. But you do you, I will keep laughing at your mental gymnastics just to pretend you are "making it"

You aren't suffering. You're still sitting at the title screen getting scared of the pre recorded gameplay footage.

So the real reason you losers can't get a job is not because the economy is bad. It's because you're useless.
>>
>>739683585
Are summer jobs and lying on your resume about having freelance experience by doing comms for anons in drawthreads considered real job experience?
If they aren't then I never had a job once either.

they dont even do that
they dont even work
they just pretend to
>>
>>739725963
I type on the computer 14 hours a day and make no one more money, but I do know I'm more useful than anyone here as a fursuiter, kings field expert, and father of one. What have you done with your life?
>>
>>739726028
Reminds me of the Kino's Jounrey episode where she comes across a city of people who don't need to work since everything is perfect but do anyway all day until they die just to have something to do.

>i am useful because I type on a computer for 12 hours a day to earn myself more money
Correct.
>>
>>739683585
30 fucking years? Well, I wish you the best at that age... I was a neet from 16-21, went to med school then and I might have money now but I still dread every single awakening morning having to talk to people.

I should read new kino books now that ai is good enough to translate
no longer at the mercy of translator picking it up and dropping it for chapters every 5 years

90% of jobs are pointless busy work. It's usually the ones that pay more that are the least useful too, as if the people doing nothing need to feel superior to those actually being useful as well as making a lot more money than them. They need to have their cake and eat it. That's what wagies all strive to achieve. Digging their heels into the suffering. It's disgusting.
