I have never gotten Gothic 1 to run on a single computer I've ever owned no matter what I've tried. 2 works fine but I've never gotten past the menu of 1. It's been in my Steam library for like 15 years but no matter what I try no matter what OS it always crashes when I try to start the game.They should gibs me dat remake for free for teasing me this long.

>>739733898I own pic related, and just beat Gothic 1 late last year. I plan to beat Gothic 2 after the remake (or instead of it, if it turns out to be shit). It's 100% worth it. The Switch version runs great and has QoL improvements over the PC version, like better menus, controls, a shortcut wheel for magic spells, etc.
