I have issues with REmake's aesthetic but it does something similar to my idea really well, where players (especially first time) will have a real guttural, dreadful reaction to moving around a corner and finding a zombie. Take that feeling and put it in a version of the mansion that is beautiful like OG RE1's, it would be so interesting

So I do wonder how they will pace the ending sequences because I honestly found it super rewarding to switch to Chris with the triumphant music in the self destruct sequence and have the feeling that Chris is the only one left who can finish things off, like it's the best Chris moment in the whole series for me. And IMO Claire is supposed to end on a downer in CV and it informs her future character developments. In revelations 2 we see she is much more jaded and has more emotional barriers put up due to the trauma from the end of CV and I don't think that is as effective if we don't see her at a very low point at the end of CV
