>>739745609Unfortunately no, but for a bond game it's pretty good.I've been blăst hăving and such, but I think I wanted another hitman game more. A hitman game offers more freedom and better sandboxes than a bond game by design, because bond is ultimately a narrative driven experience.

It's Hitman if it was made by Californians and it's also a franchise reboot plus a tie-in to a modern Hitman movie.

Not sorry at all to say it was an 8.5/10 game. Maybe even a 9 depending on how much post launch content we get.
>>739758940Fuck off, shill
>>739758974Sorry champ. Tortanic was a once in a lifetime event from 2011. Underage cumstains will never be able to recreate it no matter how hard they shitpost. I'm still early into the game (I'm a wagie) but so far it's pretty alright
>>739758940The last two levels were utter kino>infiltrating the bad guy's Antarctica base with OctoCamo and the qt spy>climbing all around the outside and inside of the building, hacking the robots and pairing with Wrecky>more of the game's frenetic gunfights with the constant gun switching and CQC>baddie dies, whole base goes down while you pursue the qt spy as everything explodes around you>culminates in a boat chase through the ice>just when you think the game's over, the final level takes place in the MI6 underground with a roided Damien still alive>you get to use every single goddamn gadget in Q lab including the Aston Martin with the minigun and missiles>Bond gives his life to defeat the bad guy but is ultimately saved by the qt genuinely liking him>final cutscene honoring Greenway, becoming 007 and getting the iconic gun barrel sequence>"James Bond Will Return"This is how you do moviegames.https://youtu.be/HH4zZ51I6ds

>>739763443But you die in two shots and weapons have one magazine or less. Surely you're not letting /v/ dictate what you think about vidya?
It's Uncharted meets Star Wars Outlaws. It even has the same "bluff" mechanic from Outlaws.
>>739763707>But you die in two shots and weapons have one magazine or less.Anon, I'm watching a guy stream the game on the hardest difficulty as we speak, it's easy as fuck and enemies take like 5 seconds to line up a single shot against you half the time, especially the ones with tasers in some of the later levels. And you can just dodge it easily by crouching behind a box for a second. This is like the perfect "background streaming" game, I could not think of any situation in which I would gain anything from playing this game, because I've already played this game like a dozen times over the last decade.
>>739763707>>739762281>describes cinematic setpieces while glossing over gameplay using general terms like cqc to appear like he's playing a real game>This is how you do moviegames.>moviegame
>>739764027>I'm watching a guy stream the gameOf course you are.
>>739763707bro you just gushed about how epic of a movie it was
>>739764169Movie games have no value. They're perfect for putting on in the background while playing a real video game
>>739764169Like I said, I've already played this game a dozen times.Generic AAA moviegames don't suddenly become good just because you're a Europoor trying to shore up your own industry.
>>739764161>general terms like cqc to appear like he's playing a real gameIt's Arkham melee. I assumed you'd know what with having played the game and all>moviegameYes, that's an actual thing. Games that try for cinematic flare. You know, the 007 moments in Agent Under Fire? Or Blood Stone, more than a decade ago? Scripted setpieces where you move forward while things blow up around you. Bond games have always followed this, because Bond is a movie IP and it sticks to its source material. It's not rocket science, nor is it a gotcha.>>739764232Moviegame ≠ movie.>>739764260>They're perfect for putting on in the background while playingToo ADHD to focus on the one thing?>>739764261They don't suddenly become bad, either. They had a market ever since 2007 with Uncharted. People liked it then, people like it now. In fact we haven't had a game of those in this scale since probably Uncharted 3/4 more than a decade ago. It's that type of crowd pleaser, popcorn fare game.
>>739764560>all of this to defend a AAA movie gameI'm not reading all of that bullshit. Your """game""" is slop.
>>739764560>In fact we haven't had a game of those in this scale since probably Uncharted 3/4 more than a decade ago.We just had one in Mafia Old Country last year, everyone immediately forgot about it.This type of game has died out because they're fucking boring.
>>739764560what other genres do you like
>>739749471Are they really bringing back the cringe sniper missons? The characters were hated in 2. I'm surprised they're not bringing back the invasions at this rate
>spend time hyping up robots>introduce them for a couple of high-aura but pretty miserable gameplay sections>never use them againno i am not going to play escalations they were bad enough in hitman
>>739764692>I'm not readingConcession accepted.>>739764696>Mafia Old CountryAA game barely anyone talked about or played. Mafia was never this type of game, as good as 2 is it is clearly unfinished and Old Country didn't have the budget to pull anything on the level of the Slovakia plane or Vietnam quarry.>>739764710Everything but strategy. Top 3 being stealth, horror and RPGs. But I do like Bond movies, and this is easily the most Bond-like 007 game made so far so seeing people comparing apples to oranges not knowing the game this was always gonna try to be like is funny.
>>739765025>AA game barely anyone talked about or played.Bro, this game is barely on more radars than that game was.First Light hit a lower peak playercount on Steam than Pragmata.Point is, this type of game is absolutely still being made, people just don't care because a lot of people have gotten bored of this type of game, since they've been the same since 2007.In fact, I'd argue a lot of them are somehow worse than they were at the peak of this "genre" circa 2009.
>>739764963The Stone & Knight picture is for co-op mode, that's who you play as.
>>739764560>>739765025BLOOD STONE
>>739765180The Last of Us Part II is a linear cinematic experience but it still has huge combat arenas and exciting moment-to-moment gameplay and a consistent gameplay loop that is omnipresent throughout the 25-30 hour runtime First Light is walking and talking the ENTIRE time with the occasional combat setpiece sprinkled in. I'm at the art museum bit with the "boss fight" with the finn in the basement and i'm just so bored. I regret buying it
>>739765180I've heard of this game since it was announced. I had to know via /v/ that Old Country had come out a week earlier.>>739765382Fellow Blood Stone enjoyer.https://youtu.be/O7sP2HUXoO0
>>739765401I would unironically say that TLOU2 is better than the majority of these types of games, even if that's not a particularly high bar. They're just boring, if you've played one of these games over the last decade you've pretty much played them all.
>>739745609No, it's Uncharted 5 with more product placement
>Watching streamer play the game>Beats big bad champion melee fighter by spamming vault kicks>Game crashes his PS5
>>739756861Absolution has less railroaded set pieces and is more of a sandbox. First light will barely let you crash your car
>>739765365Yeah I know. People didn't like them when the modr released during the hitman 2 days
more like James Bond 4, since WoA was basically a 007 game with a Hitman skin on top of it.
The unarmed combat everyone is praising in this fucking sucks, it's simon says shit and enemies just spam the unblockable grab attacks all the time, it makes me wish I was playing Sekiro instead, or any other James Bond game so I could just shoot them instead of dealing with all this shit
>>739770903can you not shoot people as you please? I thought it was a choose your own style type of game.
>>739771148You can only shoot people in specific circumstances, the game didn't want Bond murdering a bunch of hired security at a hotel
>>739771280thanks, removed from wishlist.
>>739758940his head is so damned huge.
I got it on the PS5 and honestly I cannot believe I spent money on this piece of garbage. >terrible graphics that look worse than the PS3 in some parts>everyone is black or Indian >woke anti sexism message in a James Bond game>"gameplay" is walking down a hallway and pressing square if there's an enemy >all the gadgets mean there's 0 challenge, wouldn't want any challenge now would we>combat is mashing one button or easily headshotting everyone in the entire level >enemies can't see you standing 2m in front of them >lighting looks absolutely awful >voice acting is diabolically bad, none of the characters have a personality >half the cutscenes are unskippable >feels like total goyslop made with 0 artistry >will be totally forgotten 3 months from now I feel like a fucking dumbass
>>739770903>enemies just spam the unblockable grab attacksDodge, nigga.>>739771148Since when has Bond killed civvies?
>>739745609A extremely casualized World of Assassination Hitman You barely have to do anything. Just walk around and you'll run into everything you need to do and get to the next part.I still like it but it's definitely a movie game.
Bond's a fuckton more quippy than 47 ever was.
>>739771686>>739771728It's fitting considering the franchise it's based on.
>performative outrage over M being female
>>739768420This.
>>739772395is that a blowfish playing a video gam- i mean watching a movie
>>739771728and that's a...good thing?
>>739745609I REALLY REALLY don't understand the point of this game. There is no need for 007 when we have Hitman. I know i will get flack for this but i find 47 to be a much more engaging character than Bond. No i am not a zoomer,i grew up with Brosnan Bond. This and the Indiana Jones game simply have no place in the current climate. One has been replaced by Hitman the other by a combination of Lara and Uncharted.
>>739759163Lmao, my mentally challenged friend, don't look into the aftereffect of Tortanic, it might destroy you and your friends on discord. Tortanic was a good joke at the time that was coopted by retards just like the Chudda thing. It started as a reaction to something "failing" and now its just used by people virtue signaling.
>>739745609Except gayer and sucks more
>>739773946There will NEVER be another Tortanic. The level of failure is just unparalleled. Nothing will ever beat Tortanic's scale of failure. Not Concord, not Hyenas, not NOTHING.
the grab spam in melee combat is so fucking annoying
>>739774467...It went absolutely over your head. Tortanic was not real, thats what i am trying to say to you with my post. SWTOR has survived and is doing better than other MMOs that came and went. I'm sorry that your alternate reality didn't happen.
the final boss is so bad on purist that it soured me on the entire game. a platforming segment where you're shot at by turrets that kill you in a single burst in a game where you're constantly locked in animations. what the fuck were they thinking
