That's how I know W4 will be a big departure from W3. They had to go back to W3 and add new content to it to legitimize the bullshit that's going to happen in W4

I don't know if I can replay all of Witcher 3 again in the update engine specifically for this DLC.

But I'm thinking that this expansion might feature Iorveth or Saskia since it's something fans have been asking for a long time.

I doubt it'll be on par with the other expansions since it's probably just there to set up the new game, but I really don't understand how this is "foul". Hell, I can even see the argument of how B&W was a fine enough send off and this isn't really necessary. But what exactly is wrong with more content for people who want to replay the game or just play more of it?

Am I missing something? Or have I just become deluded in my old age? Because this just seems kind of cool, so long as it's not some lazy cashgrab that's shoveled out of course. Then yeah, fuck that shit.

I just finished playing this game about a week ago. And Holy Shit does it fall off towards the end of the 2nd and the entirety of the 3rd acts.
And it wasn't just boohoo Jews, it's actually one of the most honest depictions of scheming, backstabbing, deceitful groups of people ever.
But goddamn can you tell the 3rd act was nowhere near finished, and everything got wrapped up so horribly.

my only complaint there is that Wiktor is way too sympathetic towards the Jews despite them killing his dad and cursing his entire bloodline
i thoroughly enjoyed the interactions with Ariel. he comes off as the sort of guy who could have been your best greatest friend under better circumstances, but i didn't have an ounce of regret after screwing him over and causing him to die
all in all the game is good at not being too preachy or too chuddy

shame about the ending which i agree is a rushed mess

Wiktor had every right to just straight up hate the Jews, and except maybe Ariel Rolfe and that one fat Jew were the only ones worth liking.
But you're kind of forced to fuck over Ariel for the Golem, because locking gameplay mechanics behind story decisions is a bit boneheaded as fuck from the developers. And God knows the combat needed some extra flair.
I'm not going to miss out on acquiring Salutors because some bitch gets their feelings hurt, when in reality, the game's lore says they wouldn't even be able to control multiple of them.
It's a shame, too. Because it is a very interesting game, and then things like only having TWO fight themes somehow flies under the radar, or having to pick up 90,000 lore books all over the city just to properly level, and doing so still leaves you significantly underleved towards the end.
What a waste of such an interesting topic.
