Was Yuji Naka a hack? What was Billy Hatcher called in Japan anyways?
I thought that said Mark Fisher and felt like it made sense that he would be a gamer

Unforgivable... why didn't they listen to Mr. Naka...?all they had to do... was call it Giant Cockā¢...now he's become... SHADOW BALAN... this was avoidable...
Maybe he is an asshole but the example just makes me think his feelings got hurt because the creator didn't like his shitty idea and he never got over it.
>>739786776Reminder that Yuji Naka had to be bribed with a Ferrari in order to make more games and he barely did any work after Sega bought him one
>>739787419He was probably sick of Americans telling him that the 90s were over, arcades were dead in the West, and Sega couldn't just pump out ports. He did the same thing to Moore. Also if you read the interview he told the same thing to Nagoshi and he got the picture and made Yakuza right after. Not that he claims to give him the idea but yeah
>>739786776>picwho?
Billy hatcher and the giant egg is a shitty name though and just a lazy riff of james and the giant peach.
>>739786776>>739788205Billy Hatcher's a good game despite everything. I regret never getting a chance to buy it despite renting it constantly, especially with how fucked up Gamecube game prices are right now.
Yuji Naka is a spiteful prideful egomaniac according to some people who have worked with him and some eyewitness employees at sega JP. He really really hates getting one-upped by anyone and will actively sabotage projects if it doesn't go his way. He's a great programmer though but as a project lead and the ideas guy he sucks.
>>739786776I just remember Yuji Naka being an unbelievably butthurt asshole in some interview talking shit about the character designer for Sonic, or something like that. Also he made Balan Wonderworld. That by itself instantly qualifies him as a hack fraud.
