I expected it to be Hitman WoA 2016, but James Bond. Instead, it’s a reskinned Absolution.

but seriously, six years of development over a 10-hour story???

James Bond has always been a niche franchise and basically dead for a decade.

Challenge runs that are set to three or more stages, each subsequent stage increases difficulty by restricting rules, hence the term “Escalation”.

Here’s an example:

>Stage 1: Use a sniper rifle to kill some guy
>Stage 2: Same as above, but don’t get spotted or have the target’s body found
>Stage 3: Same as above, but now you have a bomb strapped to your neck and you can only diffuse it by finishing the challenge even quicker. Also, everyone is permanently aggro’d and will shoot on sight, and if you’re hit once, you get giga AIDS irl

It's honestly too long. I'm at Antartica and I just want it to end already.
Go here, distract these guys with the things beside them or use your gadget, take the thing, go to point a, get past or kill some dudes, and repeat.
It gets old before you beat the game. I'd really rather be playing Hitman Freelancer on VR right now.
>>
>>739838725
Say what you want about IO interactive, but they're the only modern developer capable of making a good looking "AAA" game. It might be that they still use their inhouse engine instead of unreal slop. Everything always looks so beautiful in hitman 3 and first light.

I find it more annoying that freelancer doesn't have something change in the levels other than targets and maybe someones routine. There's variants of levels for the side stories, escalations and limited targets but they just don't add them to the maps as a curveball.
It somehow makes a roguelite mode predictable.

This.
Daniel Craig Bond was pretty shitty for the exception of Casino Royale and Bond Burger was 90s camp like Mission Impossible and Batman Forever.
Mission Impossible aged better as an IP and nobody is crazy about it.
Millennials aren't particularly nostalgic for any televised western IP.
Zoomers possibly never used a tv remote so there is no chance they watched the originals.
Changing the formula for "Modern Audiences" ruins the formula so why even pick this IP?
To top it off, the protagonist looks like Kirkland's Tom Holland which would had been shitty regardless.
Gameplay looks bad desu, there are people comparing it to the last two Splinter Cell games which were not fantastic and First Light is still losing.
It is pretty much like a bad version of Uncharted and Uncharted gameplay was already tortuous to play.

Now the question is whether if this is more forgettable than Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Don't care what anyone else thinks this game is fun and cozy as fuck. It is everything old Snoyger movie games used to do right but improved because it provides the player with a sensible amount of agency for an action game. It's basically a slightly less brainless Uncharted. I'm impressed with the melee combat for a cozy linear action game. It is quite good for IO. If we get this level of interactivity for melee in the next Hitman it will finally achieve perfection. Interactivity meaning not just your face on their fist but specifically your and their bodies with the world. Kinda like the Conviction interrogation scenes but it is all the time in all combat. It is a DRAMATIC improvement from the lazy Assassin's Creed/Arkham Batman games' melee combat. They were both missing the critical element of including the surrounding environment into combat in a dynamic way.
For the $45 dollars I paid (no tax) from GMG last month it is well worth the price of admission. Excellent game. Enjoying it more than Pragmata even if Pragmata had a clever/fresh twist on combat that I haven't seen before.
If we can get this melee system (world interactivity and all) in the next Hitman... IO has the perfect game on their hands imo.

it's crazy limited right now. I expected at least having access to every major combat arena in the game with some modifiers, but it's only 2 so far. I know they are adding more but it's still weak as fuck for launch.
And the Escalations are less engaging than Hitman. Hitman escalations feel like tiered puzzles where you need to adapt your solution for each one. The Escalations in tacsim so far feel like the solution for tier 1 will fundamentally be the same for tier 3. Maybe a couple more guys to knock out

Yes, or final interrogation segments. Simple is good if it can make things feel visceral and this does that. I thought maybe we'd get a few games like that again with Sony releasing stuff on PC but I got most of it and... none of it is any good. It is shocking how fall Sony has fell. They've completely lost it. I enjoy maybe 1 or 2 of this style game a year at most. I'm happy to finally have them back since sony isn't up to the challenge. Bravo IO.

I had a really fun time in the Slovakian hotel grabbing the albino twins and smashing their heads on every prop I could find
It feels just right
If you like visceral, "organic" feeling combat, i’d suggest TLOU 2, yes i know characters and story suck ass, but the combat and stealth are really good

I've thought about it a few times but I never played the first one (I tried way back when it released on Steam but it ran like ass). I did play through the worst Uncharted (weirdly the only one they released on PC) and it was pretty cozy but not great.

>>
>>739860852
If you liked uncharted 3 then yeah it's great. If you loved hitman it won't scratch that itch.
It's like an exact middle ground between uncharted 3 and absolution
>>
My main issue with the game is the melee combat, this game really needs a lock-on because it's a mess versus multiple enemies, the camera rarely cooperates too. Might be exacerbated by playing on purist though.
>>
>>739861026
I'm surprised because the melee combat is the only thing that I think is standout in the game. It's simplistic, but dynamic in a way very few games attempt. Just set up your camera away from walls as you start fighting and it's less painful.
I've been seeing videos of people getting buttfucked by like 2 enemies because they refuse to engage with the defensive options. If you are getting grabbed, just dodge more. Dodging works for regular attacks too you just don't get the counter throw
>>
>>739860852
It’s just some shitty moviegame. Journos eat that shit up.
>>
>>739861131
the animations are fantastic but mechanically it's garbage
>punch>grab can be looped on everyone
>player and enemy dodging is a clipping nightmare
>if an enemy winds up an attack while you're attempting to grab another one you can't avoid the hit
>zero attack variety, it's all the same canned three hit attacks
like everything else in the game there was a good idea behind it but the execution is halfassed
>>
>>739861976
It needs more animation variety for sure, and even the contextual animations don't utilize the environment fully. Like takedowns against railings and desks are always the same, and end with the body slumping near your feet. Should have ended them with throws over or at least knockouts towards the edges so they would end up laying on the tables or flying over railings.

I have a bunch of autistic gripes with the combat system but it's still closer to what I want than any game has done in the last decade
>>
>>739860426
Indeed. Sony hates money.
>>
>>739862106
I don't want more animations, I want mechanical depth. Enemies mixing grabs into their combos and either a basic anti infinite prevention or locking grabs behind stunning enemies.
And what you're looking for is Sifu.
>>
>>739862557
Nigga I played Sifu like 50 times I have over a hundred hours in it. My favorite game of all time is The Warriors.
I just don't get games with fun grapple systems very often, I think that was the big fundamental missing from Sifu also, along with more ragdolls and less canned animation for death.
And it's weird because 007 has enemies that dodge and use varied combos against you, and they even have increased health so the fights don't end instantly, but they are only used during a couple of stealth optional sections. The armored enemies that start showing up later are not much stronger in melee than a regular mook, and that's a huge missed opportunity.

But yeah I wish it had some more combos and options that. Flowed out of counters, etc. At least on par with Sleeping Dogs for combos, which really isn't a lot
>>
>>739863512
>enemies that dodge
enemies only dodge grabs and even then the chances are oddly low on hard mode. and once you get them into hitstun they get grab looped to death.
>varied combos
no they don't, it's always the same three hit string though sometimes it bugs out and they only do two hits with no counter opportunity. only additional thing they have is a counter kick.
>big fundamental missing from Sifu
the fuck? Sifu's grab system is really rewarding and highly intricate with wall bounces and chase combos though I hate how enemies can hit you out of it

>I have a bunch of autistic gripes with the combat system but it's still closer to what I want than any game has done in the last decade
Correct. It has easily elevated itself well beyond Assassin's Creed and Arkham Batman games to a disturbing degree. It is frankly shocking it took this long to get something as deep. Feels like alpha Conviction (or interrogation scenes from conviction) or that one Platinum Games title for the Wii (iirc) but it is applied to the entire game and not just canned segments.
It doesn't need mechanical depth IMO, this is a cozy story/character driven action game with a tight narrow focus. It is supposed to be a simple game but simple doesn't mean brainless and IO nailed it. The perfect game to recline in your chair and play on a controller at your PC. It is all about INTERACTIVITY and it is disturbing it took this long for a mainstream game to get even this level of basic interaction with the environment during melee combat. I hope this is the start of a new trend. I love it.
>>
>>739864063
>simple doesn't mean brainless
but it is brainless? you mash attack, press parry if an enemy twitches and dodge if they stretch their arms out.
Even bamham has some effort in its enemy design.
>>
>>739863961
Sifus grab system is an alternative option after a parry or other stun attack. It's cool, but it's more a "throw" than "grapple". I like the opportunity to strike while grabbing and manually reposition the enemy. The last game that had a similar system was Sleeping Dogs and that game fucks hard but it was also 13 years ago.
And it's also the thing that keeps me coming back to The Warriors. Positioning enemies to do insane environmental attacks is satisfying, and throwing for crowd control is kino and still underutilized in games outside the few we already mentioned.
>>739864063
You are based for bringing up the alpha of Conviction. I still don't think this game reaches the potential the system could have. At its peak, we will one day get a game that feels like prime era Jackie Chan choreography when played right. I pray to God those Sifu fuckers make another martial arts game and don't chase the live service sports game hell they are currently in

the Fleming estate has had some odd stipulations over the years, like only 1 actor can protest the character at a time. so all supplementary material like games were required to have the same actor.
then they lightened up but still tried using previous actor likenesses only
now they are trying the separate film and game timeline thing, and I think it will be the correct choice in the end. Gives IOI more freedom to design the levels they want without intrusion, and the films can cast a more fitting actor for a traditional viewing experience.

It's the duality of First Light. What some people love, others hate.

>Driving
Either it's funny how easy it is to do or it's the worst thing ever they should've just made them cutscenes you watch because there's no way to lose them. Usually the people complaining about them also don't just try and stop so they can see the Game Over screen for Bond not driving, and want to kill everyone they meet on the roads and hate that they can't.

Personally, I just hate how many of them are basically loading screens for the next stage/level, like when Bond drives back to his apartment or when Bond and Greenway drive to the salvaged ship. I mean, I get it, it's a way to have an interactive loading screen, but it's also boring.

>Fighting
Either you love the combat or you hate the combat. You see people doing crazy shit like flinging a dozen wine bottles to knock your enemy on their ass or you have people saying it's just button-mashing with no skill and you shouldn't have to do any of this as a super-secret super spy.

>Shooting
Way better than Hitman and I see people who actually play FPS playing First Light and doing great with it, but then I see people who call it a movie game hating how so many encounters are shooting galleries where they're having absolutely zero fun shooting people, blowing up barrels, or rolling between cover.

>Investigations
There's so many little elements that are like Hitman, but then none of them are fleshed out or lengthy. It's ass to me as an experienced Hitman player, but people who have never touched those games come across these and are impressed the game even offers the option of alternate routes. At the same time, the anti-moviegamers say none of that matters because you get to the same point in the map/story no matter which route you choose, as if Hitman didn't also do this.

The people who are unhappy with First Light wanted to play World of Assassination but with a James Bond fleshsuit.
>>
>>739865039
Well said. The driving is ass by any metric and the investigation parts, as you put it, never reach the highs of Hitman and always feel like a pale comparison. They don't even achieve what they want to be in a vacuum, because they end up playing like checklists more than expressions of player knowledge and skill
Example: if you are replaying a section and already know to laser a vent open, you may need to engage with a handful of linear dialogues before the relevant prompt becomes available. It's the antithesis of Hitman design and when they are trying to still give the illusion of these open ended mechanical sections, it really falls flat
>>
>>739835341
I can't do anything about epstien but I can vote for laws that put you in jail.
>>
>>739865223
I think it comes down to iOi being afraid that Hitman-style mission stories would be too confusing for the broader audience they're targeting with First Light and they were more focused on tight, short, mission levels rather than the sprawling Hitman levels where they wanted replayability and playtime.
>>
>>739856029
>posts one of the worst Bond games ever made
>>
>>739865381
Also likely. I think Hitman was enough of a success that they know there's an audience for that stuff, but the license holders needed something safer for such a big IP.
What other people are saying rings true for me also. If they make a new Hitman game wish some amount of this combat system, I will love it. Imagine a grapple and run like 007 has, but you can choose to use a lethal melee weapon from your inventory during that grapple and can then smoothly transition into a body drag
a new Hitman with this upgraded engine could be the perfect stealth game

And I agree it hasn't reached its final form. That's why I'm hopeful it makes its way into the next Hitman (or bond sequel) with more thought put into it.

>but it is brainless? you mash attack, press parry if an enemy twitches and dodge if they stretch their arms out.
>Even bamham has some effort in its enemy design.
You clearly haven't played it then. I'm talking about melee combat interactivity not fucking combos. Combos have no business in a game like this. But list any mainstream action game that has a more interactive melee system. AssCrud, Batman Arkham, Uncharted, TLOU, God of Onions, etc. None of them have a system that allows the motherfucker you're beating on to interact with the world dynamically based on what is happening, how much force is behind a thing, how the NPC is moving (speed, direction, height, orientation, etc) and the properties of the thing the NPC is inadvertently interacting with based on your input (height, density, fragility, etc).
Maybe you DID play it and just have no awareness at all while you vapidly mashed the punch button shouting "HURR SO SHALLOW DURR."
Only god knows.
>>
>>739866057
I recently learned that the Combat Design Lead for 007 was an animator on Arkham Asylum and saw the Freeflow Combat system in its inception and worked on it. He left Rocksteady after Arkham Knight and joined IOI and the rest is history I suppose.
It does feel like it more fully realizes some concepts that the games that came before it, even bamham. You can't interrupt attacks with your own, for example, and it wants you to balance spacing from the enemies with their ability to escalate to a gunfight if l ft alone.

Fuck it's so so good but still so limited. I only got this game for the melee combat and now I want a sequel for an upgraded version of this melee combat. I hate having this specific autism.
Also they should have simple powered ragdolls in the future. Not full on smart ragdolls like Euphoria but some poses so that they don't become spaghetti right on death

Antartica is a huge slog. So much time spent "platforming" (which isn't really platforming since you can't actually fail). The last mission drags also, but has a couple really cool parts. The final boss fight is literally just following yellow paint.
>>
>>739862106
>I have a bunch of autistic gripes with the combat system but it's still closer to what I want than any game has done in the last decade
Pretty much the same here, I want a game that plays like MGSV but has deep CQC and that's pretty close to what we got. I definitely want to see a more hardcore approach in a sequel but I completely understand why they went for a more casual approach. 007 is a casual franchise
>>
FOCUS, 0
>>
>>739867039
All the "bosses" are shit. I people compared it to Mr Freesellze from Arkham City in the previews but it's really nothing like that fight. you aren't using your full moveset you are shooting the ground to lead the guy into a retard trap 3-5 times in a row. That shit is actually terrible. Ironically the 2 unnamed assassins you fight in the apartment are a more fun boss fight than any of the shit with a healthbar.
Maybe this should have been a Bourne game instead
>>
>>739867021
Absolution does not have any segments were you are forced to shimmy on yellow paint ledges and crawl through yellow paint crevices for 10 minutes straight. The closest thing Absolution had to that was the hotel climbing sequence after the Hotel fire, and that is actually failable if you aren't fast enough.

The few stealth sequences in this game are Absolution-esque, but the vast majority of your time in this game is just spent walking along a yellow paint and blue tarp obstacle course.
>>
Game is fun. I'm having a blast.
>>
>>739867113
Its really weird there is no hacking minigames. All data is in handwritten notes. That's bizarrely low tech. Deus Ex captures the spy feeling a lot more since I am sneaking into offices and hacking computers.
>>
>>739867121
You are forgetting the level like 3/4 way through in the desert area, where you literally do the shimmy shimmy on cliff walls for several minutes while hiding the load between the shitty arenas

it feels more linear in all the non-combat stuff, but the combat optional arenas remind me most of Absolution in a weird way
>>
>>739865039
The 2nd Africa driving sequence has to be cut content. The area is huge, and has multiple roads that criss-cross. It is way overdesigned for a simple loading screen. I guarantee there was an escape sequence there at some point that was cut.

This, but also my big beef with the game overall is the tone.

Killing and danger has absolutely zero gravitas. Assault rifles are treated like fashion accessories and the violence is constant but completely flat and safe like a kids cartoon.
Bond is some 20 year old who's already killed more people than Pol Pot by the time he ascends to 00 status, let alone joining MI6. He rushes at groups of men with firearms to punch them in the face like an invincible superhero. He's a complete psychopath.
And we're supposed to believe that this is James Bond? Sure the movies were goofy but you didn't see James pull some Equilibrium shit and fight his way out of being surrounded by 12 dudes with AK47s 39 times in one movie.

The old games were all action and shooting dudes but they didn't pretend to characterize their Bonds as anything but an experienced super soldier. If you're going to have your guy to through training arcs, emotional moments, have him yap about every little thing that happens aloud like he's narrating himself and have him consistently fuck up and act inexperienced and submissive, you can't have him be an unstoppable juggernaut in combat.

They want to make movies but they can't write for shit.

Craig is good with humor, and it should have been a no-brainer in 007 movies, seeing as Bond always has cheeky british humor in the most unlikely situations, but the directors for the Craig-era 007 movies just tried too hard with the gritty, moody, suicidal atmosphere, at least in the later movies where everything is always super duper serious business with no whimsy/camp whatsoever

>>
>>739850905
It makes me sad knowing that no one outside of indie devs will ever reach the levels of edge in games like Hitman Contracts and the Kane and Lynch again. GTA is the closest we’ll still get, but that comes with a lot of corny libfag “social commentary”. Say what you will about the shitty gameplay, but KaL was cool for having absolute irredeemable piece of shit protagonists that hit women and gun down civilians. As much as I like world of assassination, the atmosphere in those games is really lacking at times. Modern IO wouldn’t do a Meat King’s party type level. Even 47 feels very toned down after Blood Money. The Hotel room hit in Thailand is maybe the one moment in WoA that still captures 47’s coldness. Current day media is so fucking lame, man.
>>

It's annoying because they have the gameplay fucking mastered. It's like the way Kojima mastered MGS gameplay with 5, but now the Hitman devs have went a shitty "assassinates global elites" route and we will never get gritty levels like contracts which were peak.
>>
>>739875591
It is nothing like WoA outside of the fact it runs on the same engine (and they recycled some of the animations)
It's just a set of linear setpieces (very occasionally you'll get a choice between stealthy or loud approach) interspersed with hours of dialogue

Agreed. WoA mechanics with Hitman Contracts or Dog Days’ atmosphere would be fucking amazing. From what I’ve played of First Light so far, it’s not terrible, shooting in particular feels pretty decent, but god, it’s just so horribly “safe”. It doesn’t even match the edge of some of the Darker Bond films.

It's actually remarkable how barebones the gameplay is
>melee combat is literally just punching ad nauseam, throw enemies around, throw shit at enemies and slide kicking, you don't even learn any new skills or moves, the way you fight at the start is the way you fight at the end
>stealth is braindead as per the usual IOI modus operandi, enemies are blind even if you're right in front of them
>shooting is competent at best but fucked over by the fact that you can only use guns in certain predetermined combat sections and not freely which is retarded if you know anything at all about james bond
>qtes which can't be failed
>driving segments that are so on rails that it will literally force you back onto the correct path if you try to drive wrong
>they made a huge deal over the bluffing system which ends up being pointless because even if you pick the "wrong" option there are no penalties and the actual dialogue they gave bond for "excuses" if you get caught is so insanely stupid that a literal child wouldn't fall for it
>bond sleeps with one woman, gets cucked out of another woman and has an EVA-style female rival who gets away at the end
>boss fights are fucking awful and mostly identical to each other
>plot isn't too bad at the start basically there's this super AI that MI6 uses for Minority-Report-style spy shit that turns out to be completely broken and giving false positives so the company who made the AI had been going around committing terrorist acts to remove all evidence of it fucking up so they can keep getting government cash but then after bond uncovers this conspiracy the main bad guy turns out to have been building another super AI that he wants to use to coup the British government for reasons that aren't really clear except that IOI didn't know how to end the story
>no real replayability even the tacsim game mode is basically just glorified timed challenges on existing story maps

What do you mean its not true. If you did a break down of your time in this game, the majority of it is spent in walking sections with no enemies. That justs objectively true.

some driving sections guide you back to the road or away from civilian cars but not all of them. Like it won't let you run into a civilian car and rear-end someone in the section that's just you chilling in the streets but you can run into an obstacle and game over during a chase
I think it also guides you during a section of driving a garbage truck and a giant quarry truck but I can't remember
>easy AI
like combat AI? I think they grenade you and try to flank you all the time and cover breaks quickly too. I thought they behaved well in combat.
I think it's a little handholdy in the Hitman-ish sections where you need to investigate or steal stuff but it's not too bad and there's still a lot of room for general problem solving or looking around yourself

My biggest complaint of the game is that it’s so easy even on purist. I’m having to pursue the ghost achievement for every level just to get some kind of challenge, and even that’s straightforward since the stealth just amounts to “use gadget or distraction item”. What is it about modern games needing so much external help? I recently played through metroid prime 4 and the amount of support and extra studios was ridiculous. I'm glad gamestop had it for $26 because it was a horrible mess.

STOP THE COUNT
>>
>page count not going up
Stop samefagging poojeet. Nobody cares. You're just making the game look bad.
>>
the game's okay but $70 is way too fucking much for it. I have no clue how this game's budget was so huge, it feels like a 7/10 AA endeavor at best. I at least like that it actually feels like a proper Bond setting and is kind of silly with the over the top set pieces, refreshing after years of Craigshit.
>>
>>739888546
I guess I’m a sucker for the setting and vibe. The main thing I’m thinking of while playing Aleph is that it would make a top-tier Hitman level and it’s just a shame that First Light is relatively linear.

Personally, I’m hoping some of the more interesting mechanics like bluffing and hacking into things remotely will make it into the next Hitman. If First Light is an experiment for ideas to put in the next Hitman, I feel it’ll have justified it’s existence.
>>
>>739889165
It’s a heavily story driven game with lots of cutscenes, so probably most of that time was spent on those. Plus, they overhauled the engine, which adds time too. I went into it expecting a 7/10, so it’s met my expectations, maybe exceeding it in some ways since I was expecting it to be more a generic TPS instead of this weird Hitman-adventure game hybrid.
>>
>>739839824
They've been building this engine since the first hitman.

I feel like there must be 2 versions of the game or something. The game I am playing is a linear walking sim where I just spend hours following yellow paint and blue tarps with no enemies around. But then people praising the game say they have no idea what I am talking about, and that the game is a mix of Hitman and Uncharted.
>>
>>739889467
yeah it's like the "social stealth" type of thing. those parts are fine honestly. they almost feel like a point and click game or something. maybe they should have just made the game a point and click with QTEs, honestly.

Only a few maps feel Bond. There is a huge inconsistency in the levels. Aleph, Webb Industries, Antartica, and the MI6 sewers are all generic levels they probably bought off an asset store.
>>
Did any of the reviews actually play the game
>>
>>739889409
The stealth sections would be better if they weren’t so easy and the AI wasn’t so braindead.

The AI feels downgraded from Hitman and their viewcones aren’t as large.

Aleph already reuses a lot of assets from Columbia and Mumbai. Not every map Hitman maps needs to reinvent the wheel. Hotel maps are always kino. Plus, there would kino opportunities, such as disguising as one of the players and winning the Chess match, or having one of them get busted cheating to end the match and get them off stage.

>no iconic torture scene
For what reason? Watching the dumb big bad of the week try and break a man literally conditioned to endure anything without breaking always creates kino
>>
>>739889719
I don't think that's really fair since Man From U.N.C.L.E. has gained a pretty big cult following in recent years. It mostly failed at release because it was an obscure IP from half a century ago at the time that wasn't even that popular back in the day. Bond by comparison is a multimedia giant.

Also unlike Bond it's kind of permanently stuck in the Cold War era due to the inherent setup. Can't really have a story about an American and a Soviet spy teaming up in the 2020s when the USSR doesn't exist anymore.

>Also they should have simple powered ragdolls in the future. Not full on smart ragdolls like Euphoria but some poses so that they don't become spaghetti right on death
I feel you anon. I hope they take that level of autism approach in the next Hitman because the system from the bond game is clearly the start of something beautiful if they take it to its inevitable conclusion.

>>
>>739866225
>You can't interrupt attacks with your own

Yes you can, what is this nonsense cope?

>and it wants you to balance spacing from the enemies with their ability to escalate to a gunfight

Enemies barely ever use their guns except in specific scenarios where the game wants there to be a gunfight. It's so blatantly on-rails that there's barely any freedom.

>I recently learned that the Combat Design Lead for 007 was an animator on Arkham Asylum and saw the Freeflow Combat system in its inception and worked on it. He left Rocksteady after Arkham Knight and joined IOI

Which means nothing. Animator does not mean that he had anything to do with designing the intricacies of FreeFlow combat and he clearly learned nothing from it if he was there for the Hitman games because Hitman combat is painfully, simplistically dogshit. Avalanche's Mad Max game had no ex-Rocksteady devs yet its melee system was a far better take on FreeFlow than the half-assed bullshit that First Light pushes.

I swear the shills for this game get dumber every time.

>bond and moneypenny seethe because a richfag chad at a vietnamese resort talks about having casual sex he enjoyed.
It's less woke in a way dustborn is, the issue the writing is too shit and to contemporary
>>739889931
It's less social stealth and more of a "Video game you'd see in background of a tv show".
>collect bondjuice™ sucked out via stealth takedowns to charge up social battery to lie to a guy in a section you can't do takedowns due to social conventions.
It's inferior to hitman in every aspect.
The puzzles are too braindead to be a point and click game.
My ideal bond game would be alpha protocol with HITMAN gameplay with less disguises and more speech or intel checks where hand to hand and shootouts are also a possibility.
I made that post earlier but it'd look like this
>tutorial where you get your 00 license by whacking an arms dealing cartel kingpin or whatever, pocket a briefcase of untaxable income
>thrown into a hub world of assassination with industrial spies, mercenaries, villains assembling necessary parts of a plot, romancable babes, casinos and femme fatales
>You have to manage your limited MI6 budget on equipment, intel, bribes
