Should I play FES or Reload? I've heard Reload has trash localization/censorship but I don't know how extensive it is. The Answer is supposedly torture in FES.

If you want the female protag, Portable. If you want the complete experience with the Episode Aegis DLC, FES (the DLC sucks in Reload and isn’t included for free). FES is probably the best because it’s least sanitised, but some gameplay aspects like party control are bad, and you can’t build social links with male NPCs. You’re also forced to romance all female NPCs if you do their social links. The atmosphere is still the best in FES though. Basically I would play either FES or Reload depending on whether you value gameplay or atmosphere more.

No Contest ReLoad is not even a complete version of Persona 3, no PSP/ FemMC content, locked The Answer behind a $35 paywall, added micro transactions for costumes at 5.99 each, butchered the soundtrack, made it more like Persona 5 in terms of combat/style, on top of the game being $60.The biggest improvement I'll give Atlas credit for is they added more to do on the slow days/inbetween dungeons. There is a ton of grinding and empty days in the original where all you are doing is working on social links and waiting for the right day.
I wish they did more with the Strega. And actual Episode where you play their side of the story would be great. I'm glad someone is making a fan made mod that adds just that but development is quite slow/won't release for next couple years
