I never understood gta. I played a few games from the series and it's just ok. I guess when your more focused on things like gameplay mechanics, pacing, level design, etc. the concept of an open world, fuck around type game just isn't that appealing. I can see why mainstream audiences enjoy it; it's basically the definition of mass appeal to the lowest common denominator, but as an intellectual with refined taste it's just whatever.

The open world is kind of a playground but instead of having a strict set of rules you can just kind of do whatever and it'll usually just let you do whatever and fuck around and that was a pretty nice feeling.I finished it and have no desire of replaying it but it was a nice experience.
