I mean the crafting system is just an alternative way to buying items from vendor, which was the boring way all previous Soulsgames did it.

i have opened the crafting window TWICE. once to check it out, once to craft the pot that allows you to kill the walking firebaskets in the dlc.i have 400h in elden ringi feel like it was added because they felt like if it's an open world game, it needs a crafting system. i dont think it "ruins" it.
I played the whole game without ever picking up the first crafting book, it was literally disabled in the menu for me the whole time. Will NEVER use that gayass shit.
