So no congress person or government employee questioned the fact that Senator Armstrong is a walking fucking human tank bigger than any senator in the real world, or any person in the government (unless body building became a government program and they made those body builders look like the Hulk/a Space Marine), and bigger than fucking Batman from the Arkham games? I assume he’s big because of the nanomachines because no amount of freedom makes someone this big. Like Batman we have no explanation but this guy is on nanomachine PEDs no way he’s natty. Maybe he’s on Alex Jones’ supplements.

he's a texan
>>
>>739908585
I think that's not his regular size, he operates on Dragon Ball logic, he gets bigger when he "flexes his powerlevel". Yes, Metal Gear is stupid, Revengeance is even stupider. It's so fucking dumb, it's great.
>>
>>739908638
Hank Hill ain’t big though
Also Armstrong probably has a nice muscular ass while Hank has no ass
>>
>>739908585
he played college ball
>>
>>739908585
I think he's visibly much smaller before he roids out on the nanos. That, and his suit is probably fitted to hide his build. And hey, Arnold was a politician while he still had some decent mass, too.
>>
>>739908585
He looks kinda normal before activating the nanomachines.
>>
>>739908585
I would assume most first world country politicians were post-humans by that point.
>>
>>739908585
played college ball, y'know?
>>
>>739908585
That's a pretty normal size for a bodybuilder. He could just say he is one and no one would question it.
>>
Could Solid Snake from MGS1 take on Armstrong since he took on Gray Fox, Rex, a tank, and a Hind D?
>>
>>739908585
He only gets fuckhuge once he absorbs EXCELSUS' remaining power to juice up his nanomachines, in his other cutscenes he's noticeably smaller than, say, Sundowner or even Sam.
>>
>>739908585
>and bigger than fucking Batman from the Arkham games
Do the bamham games exist in the metal gear rising world? This is a major discovery
>>
>>739909079
You don’t know that but we do know that Armstrong is a fucking human tank like Bruce Wayne, they both look like they ate a fridge.
>>
>>739909034
Not in a direct 1 on 1 fight, but that's what Snake does. His tact and resourcefulness is usually what beats the stronger enemies.
>>
>>739908705
hank was born in new york
>>
>>739908914
nobody who plays ball at some cushy ivy league school looks like that
>>

A Hind D?
>>
>>739908585
Arnold became governaror of California. Body builders in politics isn’t a new thing here.

Yeah he's significantly slimmer even in the suit, it doesn't match his body proportions and his undershirt is visibly straining against his body as soon as the suit's off, Armstrong does get bigger as he powers up

Interestingly Armstrong in the game's earlier trailers already has a reputation as a warmonger among the elite, so there's kind of a sense that even with characters saying he's a shoe-in for elections, that might not actually be the case and he may genuinely have done Metal Gear Rising's plot just to fail in fair votes

Absolutely not in a 1v1 fistfight, but I don't think there's really a scenario where Snake would be fighting him so unequally, Snake's an operator and would be walking in with heavy ordinance
>>
>>739909034
Yes but it'd be a heavily skewed fight to Armstrong's favor
>>
>>739909441
Snake would electrocute him or something to shut the nanomachines down. Otacon would figure it out while Snake just runs and hides.
>>
>>739909441
That implies that Snake wouldn't make it unfair to his advantage. Sneaking around blowing shit up is his bread and butter. He has to take a shit ton of drugs to even hold a sniper rifle straight when in a dual against another sniper.
>>
>>739909683
That's what I mean though I don't think there's a scenario where Snake wouldn't be actively undermining Armstrong's strengths, at the very least to level the playing field if not give himself an advantage. Or even just something like "My skin hardens in response to physical trauma" meaning Snake restrains and strangles him instead of trying to fight him because Armstrong's bullshit-no-jutsu skin will deflect any knife or bullet
>>
>>739909323
He looks as big as Arnold here, so yeah the “PED” is just the EXCELSUS energy
>>
>>739909441
I think my actual question should be:
What’s the bare minimum that Snake needs to beat him?
>>
>>739910087
Most Metal Gear bosses are combat-puzzles instead of overwhelming force, I think Snake needs
>some method of temporarily restraining, stunning, or disabling Armstrong
>some method of tricking Armstrong into doing the above on his own
>at least one good rifle or handgun
Snake needs a fork to make Armstrong stick it in an electrical outlet by accident and then shoot him in the head while he's being electrocuted, repeat three-ish times until his HP is drained

Shock knife from MGS4

Imagine being Armstrong and immediately after going "n-nuh uh I went to UoT" you complain about limp-dicks
>>
>>739908585
Jesse Ventura
Arnold Schwarzenegger

That is all.

Could have gone pro if he hadn't joined the Navy, I'll add.

iirc, at some point during the fight, Raiden causes a pile of debris to fall on Armstrong. I'm sure Snake could manage that a few times, considering the boss arena is made from the wreckage of a newly-destroyed Metal Gear.
The question is: would Armstrong be stupid enough to let Snake do it to him more than once?
