I don't get how many people get filtered by flying enemy when 2 of the 3 melee has enough movement to deal with them plus you bounce when you melee them to keep you in the air and even then a single ice armor + shield deals with the fuckers easily. Shimao can have issues with them but her AoE is large enough to cleave them and, again, a single ice armor and shield deals with the fuckers easily early game and late game they become a non issue.

I recently played this game and then more recently I played Risk of Rain 2 for the first time, and I found that I got bored of Risk of Rain 2 much faster. I was honestly underwhelmed by RoR2 considering how well-known and upheld the game is.Perhaps that's because they are both very similar games, and so getting bored of one is going to lead to faster boredom in the other. But, from this I'd like to make the point that people are probably being unfairly harsh on Endless Alice because of their loyalty to, and exhaustion of RoR2.But more specifically, the enemies in RoR2 are visually more boring, many of the level layouts seem like thoughtless blender meshes. As of right now, it's the better game simply because of more content and variety. But with time, and assuming continued development, I think Endless Alice will be a genuinely better game.

Plenty characters have half of their kits as dead weight on level 1, where in Alice you can usually build around at least a couple of abilities and help keep some of your character's identity, like Lea's drone spam or Mia's airwalking. Sure, the endstate of both games is that they turn into Vampire Survivors as you continue to stack unholy amounts of passive AoE n' shit, but the path to that point feels a lot different in Endless. I do disagree with you on the maps. I think Alice's maps feel really slapped together right now and lack any real feel of being an actual location. I struggle to orient myself in them pretty often which is a problem I didnt have in RoR.
