Steam gives devs a very accessible forum, still every game is join the discord for updates, news and other things. It was never Join IRC for this shit

It can be done but understandably, the more niche your interests are, the less people will engage unless they're genuinely curious. One of the people I talk to games about the most is from /trash/ however, and surprisingly we don't talk sex very often, and never with it involving each other.Maybe it's a case of a board's home topic being the worst place to talk about that thing.
