The twist is that brute force "shoot everyone on sight" method is not allowed. Then in branches out, until you get to the part where the combat setpiece starts. There you can go ham or try to sneak past. Then you usually have some Uncharted-esque setpiece, either a chase scene or some other over-the-top hijinks. And that's how the game rolls most of the time.
It's up there with RE9, Crimson Desert, and Pragmata for me. Was very fun, and I immediately jumped into a second playthrough after finishing it.
